Hi members, 

Recently needed to change sway bar end links on my 1998 AE112R-ALPNKQ ALR lift back auto so I decided to change the bushings aswell, so I ordered the whiteline bushings (because I ordered the end links from them aswell) and it was recommended in 16mm so I got 16mm

After recieving the product I pulled the old one off and I noticed the old factory swaybar mount has a 17 written on it. Does this mean the old bar is 17mm and not 16mm? (the 16mm didn't fit, and I got a full refund) 

After that, I decided to use a 17mm and 16mm spanner to see if they fit on the sway bar, and the 17mm fits snuggly and 16mm requires more force than I'm willing to use. 

Front sway bar doesn't even fit a 17mm, it's way too small. I thought the rear sway was meant to be thicker then front in a fwd car?

I contacted two local Toyota dealers and they think the front is a 25mm, but they are very adamant the rear sway bar is 16mm. 

This car has been In the family since new, i have  full history and never changed the factory sway bar. 

Anyone encountered this? 

I don't have callipers to properly check the size.

      airconditioning relay

      Hope someone can help and tell me where the Airconditioning blower relay is in the 2018 TOYOTA HILUX SR (4x4) GUN126R DUAL C/CHAS 2.8L DIESEL TURBO 4 6 SP AUTOMATIC Problem is blower not coming on by the dial although bench tested and working and power is tested on the plug end too all good, also the resistor is tested and ok so is the power plug i suspect it is the relay or fuse but where are they just cant seem to locate it from the schematic?? If somebody can take a photo of where it is located that would be great thanx for the trouble to do.

      LN106R - compatible cabin blower fan motor ?

      Hi, I need a new cabin blower fan motor for the LN106R Dual Cab. I think the part is 194000-1060. I can find many other variations of Denso 194000-XXXX for newer Hilux and toyota modeal, but I cant find anything relating to compatibilty to older Hilux models pre-97. Does anyone know if the Denso 194000-XXXX models are compatible, such as the one advertised for the LN167 (194000-0332). They look identical. Cheers

      Thats a good point, ill give that a go, thanks. If that doesn't work, do i Just take it to a mechanic?

      Hi Ace front interior light

      Hi, The front interior / courtesy light doesn't work. I assume it's a blown bulb, but I can't find a way to remove the lens. I've tried levering it off, all around, no go. No screws visible. The hand book shows how to turn it on, door or off, but no mention of how to replace the bulb. A sick thought I had is that a PO got sick of the lens dropping off all the time and glued it on. Any advice on how to remove the lens? Thanks Herb I should have mentioned that it is a 1995 model. Another edit After closely looking at the image, I posted, I saw what looked like a base with the lens on top. I went and checked my fitting, with a torch, but there is no visible base, the whole thing (lens) goes all the way to the metal.

      Does Anyone Use A Torque Wrench ?

      I always use a torque wrench only cause I'm old fashioned, the TRD rims are expensive to replace and rattle guns hammer the nut home...Very important on aftermarket alloys as they can distort easily... Also I would recommend is a dab of copper based never seize grease on the thread as fine threads can seize (thread lock)

      Have you tried putting a couple good squirts of engine oil into the Cyl to see if that builds up compression?

      2009 Aurion blowing smoke on acceleration

      I change my oil every 5000 kilometres including oil filter, I've need had a problem with oil sludge! Oil very black at 5000 kilometre, I don't know how you let it go to 10000 kilometres.
