1990 v6 camry valve shim removal

IMG_5966.thumb.JPG.18bec41d3186138b1c6de5e065d2f03f.JPGMore details from spud.  Toyota have a special tool but claim none left.  Need to compress the valve and then apply something in a small notch to keep it depress whist removing the shim/s. Any ideas?  Looks like another option is to measure all and then remove the camshafts - a lot of extra work.  I have a spar car for spares, so should have plenty of spacers to work with.  Ironically the spare car at over 300kkm is quiet and sweet but the going car is a bit noisy in the tappets.  Spud
