Hi, I have one question, do late model camrys have timing chains?

In short for the most part,

If the front of the Engine doesn't have plastic covers then it has a timing chain.

If the front of the engine does have plastic covers that are easily removable, than it has a timing belt.

You're probably on the money there. I haven't confirmed myself, but it does make sense.

I doubt you'll see anymore Camry's with a belt. Too antiquated for such new technology cars.

What's funny is that when I was a mechanic and went to a non-Toyota brand "school day"

They talked about how they tried timing belts (since they were a newer idea than timing chains)

But the timing belts didn't deliver any real advantages and had several disadvantages, so they were going back to timing chains...

So I guess it's good to try new ideas, but sometimes they don't work out.

Whoever thought that idea up was most definitely an accountant, because if the engineers got their way ALL the time, they'd opt for a chain every time.

Metal is obviously better than rubber. It's a no brainer.

Following YouTube video relates to a number of posts of timing chains vs belts. Another good reason why you should do regular oil changes.

Def agreed, regular oil changes (with good quality oil)

Spend a little more now, to save a whole heap later :-)
