2zz knock - bearing damage

Recommended Posts

Heard a loud knocking after lift. Mechanic dropped oil pan to see worn rod bearings. I purchased some from a parts store but they're not as wide as the ones that came out. Everything matches except the width. Can they still work?

Have a read of the following URL. You will have to consider whether the narrower width will result in a consequential difference in the bearing load.
