Auto transmission swap

I’ve blown a gearbox in my 09 hilux SR5 auto 3.0 turbo diesel 
I’ve just come across a SR5 V6 auto in a paddock that’s the same model. I was wondering if I change the bell housing and torque converter Will the V6 gearbox fit my turbo diesel

It's auto. I suspect by this time the O.P has probably sussed out the paddock bashed donor car and has already made a decision. I would assume the transmissions may be the same with a different bell housing among other things. 

It would be great if people who come here searching for answers actually come back with some useful information so that others may learn too. Sadly this rarely happens.

Pictures would also be excellent to show any differences.
