Part# for Engine Oil Level Sensor - Corolla Sportivo

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I have a 2004 Corolla Sportivo and I'm looking at replacing the Engine Oil Level Sensor (part that is connected to the oil pan) since there is oil leaking from the screw which I believe may be the O-Ring / Gasket that is causing the leak.

I've been trying to search online for the part number for the O-Ring or even the part itself, and I can't find it anywhere. I was hoping someone would be able to help me out.

Cheers

Not sure if this any help mate - https://jp-carparts.com/toyota/partlist.php?maker=toyota&type=153150&cartype=6&fig=1105

You may have to contact the parts department as they will likely have a better idea.

Thanks mate, yeah I've seen that too and couldn't see the Oil Level Sensor part in the diagram. Maybe not all Sportivos has the same sump fitted?

I just found this site http://general.toylexparts.com/corolla/158340/zze122r-ghmgkn/0/018/2/8401/844882a/89491A which shows the sensor - Figure: 89491A - Part#: 8949360010

Hoping this is the right part - will be dropping by Bursons to see if it's the right one

I've seen the sump removed on an 04 and looked to be the same as my 05. I believe the Celica one is different to the Sportivo's in terms of the sensor from what I was told a while ago.

I ordered the o-ring at my local Toyota dealership the other day, should hopefully come today. Hoping that fixes the leak.

Pretty sure the Celica 2ZZ doesn't have the oil level sensor

Yeah that's what I remembered but wasn't quite sure if it was the case or not.

I wonder if the the South African based cars have it like ours which would make some sense too seeing as the Sportivo's were being assembled there.

Parts catalogues appear to indicate that is true (and that no other markets had it ie Europe)
