where does a KDJ150 actually engage low range

Hi.

My prado KDJ150 is stuck in low range. I believe the actuator or selector is stuck itself not the switch just playing up.

My question is, where exactly does the transfer case engage low range?

Everything I've been told/heard lead me to an actuator on the back of the transfer case. But that actuator drives a single pin (from what i can tell) and it moves freely but I've been told that is simply for the central diff lock.

Just want a clear answer to where I should be looking. Must be an actuator or solenoid somewhere that I'm missing.

Cheers,

Nick
