TRD Front struts

TRD-425

Recommended Posts

Hi guy's and gal's...

Thanks for the add. Collected my car today after having,  front struts, top hats and lower control arms replaced (pedders).

Happy with ride and no more annoying knocking.

Only problem is the front now sits about 2-3cm  higher ?

Checked the part number of the Pedders struts "suit Toyota Aurion 2006-2012 GSV-40 & ACV-40". No mention of TRD or Sportivo.

Wandering if there's any difference in the strut travel between TRD and standard ?

Can't understand why the ride height would change given the original springs went back in.

She is a beauty Mario, looks well looked after thanks for the Picture. I am assuming that because the struts are brand new they will require time to settle in that could be the reason the ride is a little higher But more wise minds on here will have some answers if that isn't the case

Keep Well

Beautiful car Mario. Red looks great on TRD Aurions.'

I suspect the original shocks were worn and your car was sitting lower than normal to begin with. With the brand new shocks and top hats, they put the car back to where it should be. Give it some time to bed in too as you may find it may drop a few millimeters more.

The shock travel should be the same on all Aurion 40 series. The difference lies in the spring thickness which gives it its handling and ride advantage over stock.

It looks fine to me. Take good care of it.

Thanks for the response....

Have also reached out to the TRD group (FB), suggest your spot on. A number of us have compared ride height only to find little or no difference.

Happy days 🙂
