Can't lock Aurion when phone is plugged in to charger

I have a strange problem I am trying to solve.

When I have my phone, Samsung Note 10+, plugged in to a cigarette lighter charger and I get out of the car to say, go and pay for petrol and I try and lock the car with the fob it will not lock. If however I pull the charger cable off the phone I can then lock the car with the fob.

Would be keen if someone else out there could try this with their car to see if it can be replicated, and any possible reason that this happens.

That is a strange one Peter. All I can think is that the power consumption drawn by the device is interfering with the lock circuit. It may have an excess current draw which is in turn affecting how the central locking functions.

Have you any other phones you can try and see if this happens with others or does it only happen with the Note 10 ?

Yes a very weird issue, have never experienced that even when charging my Phone also a Samsung but could be as Tony suggested drawing too much power. would be interested to hear if it is only your Note doing it, because as you said if you unplug it will lock
