This YouTube video shows the positions or locations of the various sensors for the 2GR-FE engine. It should prove to be handy if you get a check engine light and the error code is pointing towards checking/replacing a sensor.

Thanks for that Ash. Very handy to know where all the sensors are. I certainly didn't know until I watched this. The video editing needed a bit of polishing though but it was watchable.

This is another recent video by The Car Nut showing the disassembly of the 2GR-FE engine.

Pictures are very handy showing the location of various parts.

Not looking forward to replacing the crankshaft position sensor.

Actually doing the timing cover repair would be in the too hard basket for me.

Another YouTube video showing the sensor locations on the 2GR-FE. This one shows both older and newer models. He did well to show the location of the knock sensors which are hidden away in the centre of the cylinder block.
