Unique 2021 Cruiser Hybrid

After 4 months wait and 3 weeks undertaking a few mods.

I am now the proud owner of my 1st ever Toyota.

I never considered a Hybrid until I started researching the market.

If we like it or not hybrid/electric vehicles are here to stay and car buyers will have to get used to it.

In my opinion the current Rav4 is an unbeatable package, if you can wait for it to come.

However, considering they are so popular and common on the road I made some cosmetic changes to make it stand out a bit.

Thanks must go to the local dealer I purchased it from as all this was done before it went through pre delivery, and even before I paid for it.

A few times I thought, why am I doing this to a brand new car, but in the end I am happy with how it looks.

Welcome to the Forum.

As you have done your research then you already know that Toyota is the acknowledged leader in hybrid technology. Liked the cosmetic changes with the extra chrome and the blacked out badges which will contrast nicely against the white paintwork.

Excellent choice in my opinion as a transitional vehicle until full electric vehicles have further developed and prices are more finely tuned to take over the mass market from ICE vehicles.

Hope you got some money left over to spoil yourself with a nice pair of shiny new black leather boots. Can't let the new car get all of the attention. 😁

Please keep us updated with your experiences of owning your 1st Toyota.

Congratulations on the new car. I am genuinely happy for you. I love the new accents and I must say the fender flares and lower bumper sections look much better than stock. Are these also wrapped or were they painted ?

Thanks for the kind words Tony.

The flares, lower door molds and bumpers are painted Rav4 Eclipse metallic black. Originally I was going to paint the roof also, however, the panel shop guy talked me out of it due to the removal and replacement of so many parts of a brand new car.

This included the windscreen, sunroof, tailgate and doors to do it properly.

NIce !. I'm glad you chose to paint those bits. They look amazing. Good call on the roof too. If and when you decide to pull the vinyl off, at least you will still have the factory finish there.

I think the car looks perfect. Time to enjoy it now
