Replacing shocks on 2000 corolla
I've been told I need to change the front shocks on my 2000 corolla ae112 and want to do it myself. I want to buy good quality shocks but I'm not sure which ones to get. I've been looking at Monroe GT Gas, Monroe Monro-Matic Plus and KYB Excel-G. I've also thought about getting OEM shocks but not sure how easy they are to find and if they would be better quality or not. Does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers -

No problem. The pan drain will be fine for a vehicle with a known history. If you do this annually (you don't have to), it will ensure a prolonged life of your transmission. Did you measure how much fluid came out ? Did you also perform the fluid level check ? Like for like fluid change is ok, but there is the possibility that it may be slightly overfilled or under.- 1

Thank you again Tony. I have changed the oil in Trans like for like and only in a pan (Toyota ATF WS, expensive fluid, but not required full flash). Washed the pan as per your recommendation and changed the filter and gasket. Oil surprisingly was not too bad (I did change at 170K, but I just bought this 2007 Presara). Still red colour and not much debris on the pan at all. I did it because I did know the history of this car, may be someone already did it. Car itself very beautiful despite it is 15 YO and I just did not want to take a gambling with Trans.- 2

Is the Glow plug relay getting power, I know you said it is but it might be prematurely timing out -

Is the fuel cut Solenoid wiring on the correct terminals, It sounds like something has not been connected, If not sure swap them over. If you are going to check with the Injectors out and crank it over, NEVER EVER place your finger or any part of your body over the end of it as the pressure will pierce your skin and inject diesel into your blood stream -

Ok, so no power on glow plug rail, jumped pos wire across works, starts, runs. No issue with main fuse/relay, Can't work out where fault is and no power to glow plug line...ha
