Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone out there has a Gregory's manual for their car and if so are they worth purchasing? I've a Gen 3 '95 Camry and have been toying with the idea of grabbing one every time I head into Super Cheap. Thanks for any feedback :)

I think its a good thing to own one as it helps if u have any problems :)

I have one for my car and it helps alot and if i can fix it i do so :D

They are abit pricey but worth it

I got mine from there but i waited till there was a 20% off sale haha

What Charms said. They are worth every cent. When I was rebuilding a '77 Mark 2 Escort with my father we relied on the Gregory's manual a lot. Keeping in mind that this wasn't just a few panels taken off here and there. The Escort was taken all the way back to its bare naked shell and completely rebuilt. The manual didn't miss a single thing :D

I have the Gregorys manual and it is OK. I find it a little vague and incomplete in the emmissions, fuel injection and wiring sections.

Take a look at

http://oregonstate.edu/~tongt/camry/

These are Toyota service manuals for USA models. I have found very little difference between them and my Australian Camry.

Hope this helps.

And the technical articles at

http://www.autoshop101.com/

are terrific, they are Toyota training manuals.

These manuals are vehicle non-specific. They explain Toyota electrical, fuel, ECU etc systems in detail. Again they are for USA Toyotas however I find very little difference with Australian models.

One of the best things about these manuals is they explain what the ECU is "thinking" and how it makes decisions based on sensor inputs.

Hope this helps too.
