Hi guys,

I’m a long time Toyota owner, and am currently enjoying a 2004 Corolla Wagon with the 1.8 1ZZ-FE.

The car starts and drives really well, however during warm starts (after sitting for 5 minutes) the car cranks for around 6-8 seconds before starting. It’s worth noting the following:

- The car starts right away in the morning or if it hasn’t been driven for a couple of hours.
- There is no indication of rough idle or fluctuations when driving

- Outside air temperature doesn’t seem to make a difference

I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this issue? I’m leaning towards vapour lock in the fuel rail caused by leaky injectors?

I’d appreciate any advice or if anyone has had a similar issue with their car.

Thanks very much in advance,

Oakley
