Engine and radiator leakages

G'day, 

My Toyota Camry 2004 Altise has Engine and Radiator leakages as informed by my mechanic. When I start the car, it runs smoothly for about 10 minutes but then has to be stopped as I notice the yellow engine icon lit on the dash board. The car starts to shake a bit, at which point I stop it and let it cool down for about 10 minutes. Sometimes, it starts and runs for another 20 minutes before coming to a halt again. My mechanic suggests complete change of engine and the radiator. Any suggestions if replacing the old engine and the radiator would help me to keep the car? Any ideas of how much will all this cost? Any info on car mechanics that replace engine and radiators would be of great help.

When the car runs/idles does it have a ticking noise coming from inside the engine? And also are you loosing coolant from the radiator? After you run it for a while does the temperature gauge in your dash go beyond the safe level? If you need to replace it the costs of the engine and radiator won't be much if you could get it out of a wrecking yard but the garage labor is gonna be costly.

Thanks for your suggestion. Do you know of any mechanic who does change the entire engine assembly and the radiator? Cheers, Lou
