hey y'all!!

so I have a 2003 3.4L petrol V6... its my first 4x4 so pretty new to it all but atm she's starting to smell like burnt rubber sometimes whilst but usually after driving, the engine temp is normal and coolant and oil are to normal levels. sometimes it smokes after turning the car off but I'm genuinely at a loss as to what it might be nor what to do.

any help/ideas are appreciated.

Just a suggestion only, I would be inclined to check the exhaust system to see whether there is some melted plastic which could be the source of the smell. The plastic could be from some rubbish that has melted and adhered to the hot exhaust when driving. This happened many years ago for a trip to the rubbish dump.

A few days ago, when on the local highway, I noticed ahead what I thought were white birds flying up off the road. Ended up being a polystyrene box that got run over by a vehicle ahead.
