I have a defective ignition barrel on a 2007 model 100 series landcruiser. I have purchased a replacement barrel with new keys from Toyota and also watched the available UTube videos.

The original key was stuck in the ignition and would not turn in any direction. I have finally been able yo remove this key but the ignition will still not turn. The switch position is somewhere close to the Acc position but not very sure if that is right. The radio does turn on but that is all. I cannot move the switch to a position to where I can feel the lock button engage so that I can push it down so that I can remove the barrel. Can anyone give me an answer to this problem please.

Thanks Spikeke

You can try nice locks & wheel nuts in Alexandria in Sydney they will have the complete new lock assembly all you will have to do is drill out the 2 shear head bolts & the lock housing comes apart fit the new assembly tighten up the new bolts till the heads shear off.
