Car Model: 1994 Toyota Mark II GX90

Engine & Drivetrain: Swapped to 1JZ-GE VVTi + Auto Gearbox from JZX100 Tourer S

Rear Subframe & Differential: Full JZX100 rear subframe + Differential swap

---

Issue: Persistent Vibration (40-80 km/h)

After swapping my GX90 to a JZX100 drivetrain, I’ve been experiencing a persistent vibration between 40-80 km/h. The issue remains regardless of acceleration, coasting, or braking.

Things I Have Already Checked & Tried:

✔ Driveshaft: Tried multiple driveshafts (including different yokes), all checked for balance.

✔ Wheels & Tires: Swapped with another set, tested road force balancing. No change.

✔ Differential: Reverted to a GX90 differential, but vibration persists.

✔ Rear Axles & CV Joints: Checked for play, rotation, and binding—no issues.

✔ Engine & Transmission Mounts: Checked for excessive movement, all secure.

✔ Subframe Bushings & Alignment: Everything torqued properly, no visible misalignment.

✔ Brakes & Hubs: Checked for rotor runout, wheel hub play, and any loose components—everything is fine.

✔ Driveline Angle & Pinion Alignment: Measured with an inclinometer; angles seem within factory spec.

✔ Torque Converter & Transmission: No abnormal shifting issues, vibration occurs even in neutral at speed.

✔ Electrical & Engine Grounds: Verified proper grounding and no ignition issues.

What I Suspect Could Still Be an Issue:

Rear Subframe Stress or Misalignment? → Should I completely loosen and retorque the entire subframe again?

Transmission Mount Angle? → Would adjusting the mount height (via washers) help fine-tune alignment?

Chassis Resonance? → Could this be an issue with how the swapped parts interact with the GX90 chassis?

Driveshaft Harmonics? → Despite balance checks, could a slightly incorrect shaft length still be a factor?

---

Request for Advice:

Has anyone faced a similar GX90 to JZX100 drivetrain swap issue with vibrations?

What additional checks should I do?

Any specific subframe or transmission mount adjustments that helped in a similar case?

Could a chassis flex issue be a possibility after the swap?

Any insights, experiences, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

---

Additional Notes:

The vibration is not speed-dependent on gear or throttle input, only at 40-80 km/h.

No noticeable engine misfires or hesitation.

The car drives normally except for this vibration.
