I have a problem with a 2015 RAV4 Cruiser AC Climate Control that has developed after replacing the 12v car battery.

Issue is that the last used settings on the Aircon Controller are lost after the car remains idle for more than 30 minutes.

When I restart the car after 30 minutes, the AC climate control screen is blank except for a small icon of a stick figure with the front vent arrow.

When I push Auto on the climate control, all setting icons appear but have been reset to the default of 25 degrees C and not the last used setting.

The aircon climate control then works perfectly until the next occasion the car is switched off and restated after 30 minutes.

If I restart the car within 30 minutes the last used aircon setting appear on car startup as they did prior to the battery change and as designed/when the car was new.

Ie. short periods between start/stop drives and the settings reappear fine. It’s more than 30 minutes between stop and start that the problem occurs.

It appears to be that some backup battery/EPROM? is not retaining the saved settings for longer than 30 minutes?

So far, I have checked the ECU-B fuse, the HVAC fuse etc. without success.
