Hello,

i had my 2004 Camry just over a year.

On todays wet morning I decided to test the ABS by breaking hard at 50km/h.

And my wheels totally locked up, the ABS seems not working.

I opened the fuse box in the engine bay and found the ABS fuse missing.

Before I put in a new one, do you think there may be a good reason why some (shady) person just removed it?

Can anything bad happen if I put a new fuse in?

thank you, Volker

I just think someone "borrowed" it mate. There's no sensible reason why someone would just pull it just for the hell of it to be honest.

Just get one and put it in and see what happens. What's the worst that can happen ? It blows ? Highly unlikely anyway.

Let us know how you go.

Ok thanks.

I put the fuse back in.

Nothing happened at all.

ABS still dead.

I expected at least the ABS warning light to come on.

the ABS warning never comes on, not even when the car is off and I turn on ignition. The other  dash lights turn on for a moment, but not ABS

is it supposed to turn on then?
