ah toyota service

Recommended Posts

I have a little bit of coolant stains near the filler cap but no sign of coolant anywhere yet. I always check my garage floor to make sure its clear.

Anyone in Sydney tried Stewart Toyota? The are located in Sutherland and their service centre looks all right. I bouht my Stivo from them and when my car had the rattles when i picked up the car, the mechanic there fixed it for me immediately with cable ties. The sales person was also very nice. Considering driving 1 hour from Shellharbour to Sutherland for my 10,000km service.

Oh yeah... just wanted to say one more thing about stewart toyota... i believe they got the best service award in Australia last year (might be NSW or even Sydney? instead of Australia... but i THINK australia). So yeah.. i'd like to think that their service is probably on the better side of things.

Hi guys,

I usually take my car over to Sydney City Toyota in Waterloo and they've been the best I've been to so far. Pretty professional and service is 1st class... plus the courtesy bus takes you into the city for those of us who work round there. You can also check out the live webcam they have online of the service area...

Don't go to Chatswood Toyota, took it there last time and wheels were badly balanced(vvvvibrrrations at 60-70kmh)

Cheers,

kk

depends i guess, you can usually tell when you're driving how the balance of your wheels are.

I just usually do em when i get my wheels aligned at service.

But then again..... I do drive around Sydney and the roads are a bit of a shocker... (hume hwy, parra rd)

Hey everyone

I've had a bad run so far with my dealer for the following reasons.

I'm a car detailer in Brisvegas so my car goes to them spotlessly clean so when I pick it up I can note any possibile damage.( Used to work for Honda/ Nissan dealership and know what goes on in the workshop) A failsafe method which always works in your favour. I've had 3 services done so far and every time it's been washed (badly) and had my chrome wheels sprayed with their crap tyre shine. Not happy Jan!

As had been commented about rotating wheels etc - I said not to remove the wheels as they are balanced on the car. My wheels are an open five spoke design so inspecting the brakes(also very clean) is easily done without removing them. I also hate the use of a rattle gun on my wheels due to the ease of which damage does occur. I leave the socket for my wheelnuts in the car for them to use by hand if necessary. Now have no socket!

I was asked if I wanted the hand brake adjusted. I said no it was holding fine. Guess what? Got adjusted. My tyres have nitrogen in them and the pressures are set and don't really need to be checked. They checked them and reckon they needed air, so they put air in not nitrogen. I supply all the parts for my service as I have a trade account for my business. When I picked my car up the last time I got charged for parts. Numb nuts! Another thing - set tripmeter - last service the service advisor told me just how well my car goes! I know what happens to a nicely modified car when it comes in for a service from my previous employment and there is always a fight between the mechanics over who gets to work on it and take it for the obligatory thrash session (road test) for that noise you heard coming around a corner at low speed. Mechanic couldn't hear it - over the engine screaming it's tit's off at 8000rpm in each gear!

Don't say you weren't warned!

Not all dealerships are that bad - probably about 75%!

Happy servicing silvabullit :D
