exedy HD clutch

hey guys,

just rang around a few places and got some rough figures on clutch prices and installs for the sportivo

need some opinions and maybe a few people who have gone down that path can give a few tips..

for example i askd how much to install the clutch on the car, didnt ask whether any bearings or anything like that was included or if they have to machine anything, as i dnt know what has to be done...so any help would be much appreciated

most prices have been around the $380 for the clutch and $400 for the install

this is the exedy heavy duty clutch model number TYK-7334HD

btw any recommendations on whether or not this is a good clutch would be good too,

exedy also have the heavy duty cushion button clutch, and the quotes i was getting were around $520..

then they have the sports ceramic clutch with quotes going up to around $650

hey.... i have the exedy heavy duty and i think its tops.... it manages to chirp 18's into 3rd regularly ;)

you will have to have to fly wheel machined and thats probably included in the price...

i would recommend getting the exedy heavy duty.... and that price you were quoted seems pretty decent.... you could probably get it cheaper if you shop around...

dont get a button clutch in a FWD. They wear faster than a full face plate too.
