Jayson's Aurion

I have never got around to actually putting up my ride here. So here it is!

Background story:

Bought it at Malheim Fowles auction for $16k. 2008 Aurion ATX with 98,000km. Ex-government car (Department of Housing).

I bought it below the reserve price of $17k because luckily for me, that day the online bidding system happened to be down and only the people in the room were able to bid for the car.

Back then, I knew nothing about cars. I was only thinking about the price and the year it was made. Below are the pictures, stock as a rock :)

Something magical happened after that :) I found this wonderful forum! It helped with every mod I made to this car. (Will definitely become a TOC supporter)

Early days: The first mod I did was change every globe in the car to LED and installed 6000k HIDs. This was followed shortly by footwell lights and DRL strips. A package from Thailand added a sports mesh grille, a lip spoiler and eye lids. The debadged Aurion logo at the back was placed across the empty slot just below the climate controls. An AUX input was also completed.

Later on:

I moved on from the little mods like lights and looked towards bigger, but more expensive mods. In short:

First up were the new 18" Vertini Savari rims. Next came the Borla Mufflers and the Pedders springs. Once last important thing, I'm not sure if its just me, but I find it quite hard to judge where the car starts and ends. That's why I bought a parking sensor kit off ebay for $15 and spent 2 hours installing it. Looks almost like a genuine job?

The one thing that was constantly bothering me was the absence of sporty look. The rounded edges of the non-Sportivo body was honestly something I wanted to change from day 1. Finally, I purchased the lip kit along with a genuine Aurion Sportivo grille. Currently as of 2012, the car looks like this:

20120211001.th.jpghttp://img337.images...20120211001.jpg

I really hate to say this, but I think I am almost done with this car. There is not much else left to do. Maybe a CAI or weathershields, but imo, the car looks pretty much what I wanted it to look like from day 1.

Any comments would be great :) All Likes or Dislikes appreciated!

Thanks for looking :)

Shattered.. what area did that happen..?

At a restaurant carpark in Ashwood.. My mum left her camera on the back seat -_- but that night 4 other cars in the same carpark had their windows smashed. 2 of the cars from one family gg :/

Niceone Jaysonn, sure has come a long way, that body kit was money well spend makes a huge diff ! Very sexy cool lookin aurion

Thanks! And it sure has! Yeah the kit made the biggest difference to the car. I'm just wondering.. should I use the Sportivo grille or the sports mesh grille haha.. but after having the mesh grille for over a year, I like the stock sportivo one..

Unnecessary costs March 2010:

what a breaking in  , sorry to see this happened , the same as you , it happened to me on 2009 in brisbane soutbank near height gate hill area. i know what you feeling

Yeah it hurts :/ Even worse is that it's hard to find the people that do it...
