Hi all , recently purhcased a 2005 toyota corolla sportivo via private sale in Melbourne. Was keen on getting a new car for a while and after looking into vehicles that fitted my criteria of; cheap insurance, cheap parts, less than 2 year old, some new car warranty left. Corolla Sportivos were the only car left and the fact i really liked them made the decision even easier. First of all i must say that this site (TOCA) was extremely valuable to me leading up to my purchase as i could investigate pretty much anything i wanted to find out, whether good or bad in realtion to the sportivo.....well enough of that....Heres the stats of car

2005 Toyota Corolla Sportivo

post-3050-1167712019_thumb.jpgpost-3050-1167712036_thumb.jpg

Purchased : 9th December 2006

Cost: $ 22,000

stamp duty $ 880

On the road $ 22,800

Odometer : 11,300 km @ purchase, 12,400 now

Leather Protection

Paint Protection

Ming Titanium Window Tint

Car is still stock standard with no additions made at all, will keep it this way as the jump from a AE92 4afe to this will keep me satisfied for a while.

Car is is really good nick, has afew light scratches on the right hand side rear quarter panel and all of the rims have at least some minor scratches from the prior owner not being careful whist parking. Am very happy with the purchase and the car as the price was very good i believe, especially considering the low kms. Im also loving the fact that i have two years left of new car warranty so i dont have to worry about any dramas that may occur as toyota will have to deal with them......havent taken any pics really yet, not much to see is standard neways.....cheers will update thread with any changes i make

just thought id add in my latest fuel economy figures

BP Ultimate = 550 km, with the whole fuel light left to ride which is about 8 - 10 litres i think....thats all city driving so if i ran it to the limit prob get around 650 city kms

not bad.....seems to run good on BP ultimate also......

Debadged car the other day, took off the two VVTLI stickers....took off the corolla and toyota off the hatch, then moved the sportivo on the back to the left hand side where the toyota was and also added a TRD badge.

am pretty sure i am also going to paint my toyota logo both front and rear the same color as car.

And in next two weeks i need to rotate my tyres, so think i will tak e time to:

* paint calipers ? ...what color ???

* Paint rims .....not sure of color...was thinking black the color you see many buddy clubs...that sort of amber to grey ish color.....not 100 % sure i need suggestions and ideas from people.

please give me some ideas.....i like the look of is it Yvets ? celica i think the one that went to an untimely grave .....its was a darkish blue with black rims...

just took off front and rear toyota emblem.....didnt realise the front one actually just clipped out....had a look and saw one clip, then found another and was unable to get to the last one as it is covered......getting two undone allows it to pop out ne ways......am going to paint em both the color of car...will do them this weekend along with my mudflaps maybe.....color code them to car also...practice my painting skills prior to the wheels

ne suggestions on wheel colors ?
