Well if you guys were looking at trying, you can pick up an Aurion motorised mirror assembly with indicator from Toyota for about $66.50 + $35 for an unpainted backing panel.

All I know is that the Aurion mirrors fit perfectly on the Gen 6 Camry as a few guys over in the States have done that a while back. For their assistance, I sourced the part locally here and got them prices. Anyways, if you want to get them from Toyota the part numbers are:

RH Side: 87910-06906

LH Side: 87940-06906

Thanks for that, I might look at giving it a go.

If it does fit, I will have to wire up the side indicator, then delete the existing indicator from the guard! (sounds like a lot of work!)

I had spoken to local Toyota dealer and the bloke said that I wont be able to fit them on. Today I read DJKOR post and decided to go and just buy it. They had these in stock. I come home and primed the covers. After removing door panel and orginal mirror and surprise.. new mirror doesnt fit....just. I had redrilled 2 holes up (about 5mm) and miror fits perfectly. I fited both of them and waiting for paint on the covers to dry. Now I'm trying to figure out how to connect the indicator. I know I need to rewire original mirror plug but have no idea where and how to hook it up. Can someone help me or provide a link to some info please. I have Camry Altise upgrade 2004. I'll post some photos tomorrow.

i'd be curious to see if your car looks like dumbo. they look a little silly even on the aurions, they're a tad too out of proportion to the rest of the car

not bad looking at all, i reckon.. adds abit of class, a la European styling :toast:

quick question(s) though; are the side guard blinkers connected up aswell? and is there such a thing as too much indicator lighting?

Any chance of a close up pic of the mirrors position in the a-pillar area.

I assume they are a neat fit?

Does the power mirror functionality still work?

Looks the goods though!

They are fully functional (power mirror and indicators). I'll get covers painted tomorrow and will post more photos. $219 wasn't bad. Also visibility is heaps better. Now waiting for Phillips 35WHID kit. I'll try them without retrofit but if they blind other drivers will have to do it properly.

looks pretty good, reckon there are ones out there to fit 1998 camry?

all you have to do now is remove the stock ones, fill the hole and respray the quarter panels and bobs ur uncle

Are you going to get rid of the side repeater?

It would probably be a bit costly, but leaving it there kinda defeats the purpose for having them on the mirrors.

they look good, nice job :)

with the Aurion mirrors only the back panel is usually painted, do you reckon the entire mirror assembly could be painted the same colour as well? like on the stock Gen5 mirrors.
