  2. Hi Gents, I spent the whole day yesterday carrying out the following: Oil Service (ODO Reading 120241) Brake Service Front and Back. PCV Check (Nathan) Doesn't sound like much but there was plenty involved. I was planning on doing the oil service and the fuel filter but when I inspected the front brakes I couldn't ignore them any longer so my plans had changed. So While I drained the oil via the sump and oil filter housing, I removed the PCV for inspection and then soaked it in a container of degreaser. Left it in there the whole day as I wasn't in a hurry to put

  5. I bought my aurion in 2015 brand new. Been a top car. I wanted a little more performance out of it. I have a K&N filter and also just did the exhaust collector mod. The standard pipe squishes together and very restrictive right where you want it to flow. We moved the flex pipe further back and had two pipes into a larger collector Professional workshop did it and its a top quality job. Car goes a fair bit better. 1st gear it just spins the tyres (235 tyres on 17 inch wheels). Massive axle tramp. Its definately making more torque and power. It just feels more u

  6. G'day Gents, I finally stopped procrastinating and did the auto transmission service today. This service consisted of 3 parts. Current Odometer reading 123,050 Klm. Original factory fill for transmission. 1. Pan drain and replacement of filter. 2. Full System Fluid flush. 3. Fluid Level Adjustment. Ok, so here we go: 1. PAN DRAIN AND REPLACEMENT OF FILTER Had to jack the car up on all fours to get the level required. This took some time but was able to get it nice and level. Being level gives more accuracy when doing the fluid level adjustment as you kn

  7. I am one who doesn't really like tacky add ons, but sometimes there are those little things we put in or on our cars to make them that little bit more nicer or comforting. I have always felt something was missing inside and it has to do with how low the centre console lid is. I like to rest my arm when I'm cruising and i feel the Aurion Centre console lid should've been a little more accomodating in this department. So I purchased this centre armrest cushion. Got one for Dad too as he has the same car. I'll surprise him with it soon. I purchased one a while back for my Isuzu dual ca

  8. I'm using RDA discs with Bendix GCT DB2243. Be aware on Aurion there can be 2 types of pads, DB1474 or 2243. See this article: https://www.bendix.com.au/bendix-news/comparing-db1474-db2243-toyota-camry-aurion-v40 I'd avoid the really cheap Chinese nonames and stick with the brands.

  9. Welcome, and cheers for viewing my build thread! I bought this car in May '15 and didn't really plan on doing any mods to it, but as we all know, things often don't stay standard for very long. I've always liked these cars, so when I finally had the chance to buy one I opted for this '06 SX6 Sportivo model. It came with 18" TRD wheels, but apart from that it was all stock. It's not very often you see modified Aurions here in New Zealand so it leaves people wondering what the hell it is, while still blending in as a family sedan at the same time. The car now wears 19x9.5" Vertini Magic con

  10. Hey guy's i recently purchased a TRD aurion 3500sl, and i have noticed that these splitters stick out quite a fair bit, and they are also quite low to the groud. The last thing i want, is to hear that unpleasant "scraping" sound when entering and exiting driveways, especially with the current condition my splitter is in now. My car came with a factory satnav, which had been installed by the previous owner. No reverse cam was installed, So I installed an aftermarket reverse camera, which wasn't too difficult too do. After this was installed, i wired up a front view camera, and this is how it lo

  15. Got to test drive again, but on my own, for about 90 mins today. I rang and said you've already sold me one but I'd really like another drive. They said all good, come in. Then when I went in the sales manager said do you mind taking it by yourself, we're short-staffed. Take it for as long as you want, just return by 5pm. BONUS!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻 Was enough time to really test a range of things that the regular half hour with salesman usually isn't. Merging speed/power (plenty), back seat room (fine if not behind me), comfort of driver's seat (really good lumbar support), braking (stops on a

  18. I bought my 2006 aurion ATX in May 2011 with 88,000km. It started life as a hertz hire car for 30,000km. From there it was a family care until I purchased it. Now this car has not been babied. I did 2 years on my green Ps in this car and flog it every time I drive it. This thing has been bottomed out hard enough to activate the blinkers and whipers, crossed creeks, towed bike trailers and spent time on dirt roads. I have taken out quite a few pieces of wildlife with this car with one big hit almost sending it to the grave. It has had 1 minor roo hit. 1 major roo hit. Lots of smaller animals

  19. Custom roof lining for the aurion Guy finished it in two days. I took out most of the pieces to get it hydrodipped in carbon fiber to match my centre console. And have the smaller pieces glossed black The roof was just vinyl, padding was applied and then stitched into a diamond pattern. Sunvisor and airbag pillers have the same vinyl just not patterned

  25. Hi all just some updates. Dynoed the Camry in April, with stock everything. Estimating it to be 85+ kW - Got surprised with the 90.1kw Result with 3 runs :] After finding out the stock output, i bought an intake for 10kW INSTAGAIN ! - not really just some cool induction sounds. Also got my hands on a facelift sportivo grille and plastidipped it black, also plastidipped a preface camry sportivo grille but masked the chrome outlines. Was totally used to the old black honeycombed grille, so it was hard to decide which grille to go, so i oped for the last one, it was hard

  29. I have not used these forums in years, and it deeply saddens me to be back to comment on such sad news. I have known Pete since about 2010, but only had the pleasure of finally meeting him in person about 2 years ago. We had a very close bond in the short time of knowing each other. He never once had a bad word to say about anything. His beautiful personality and genuine soul touched those around him, especially me. He always cheered me up when I was down, always had answers to my questions, and he has taught me a lot about car care, photography and overall enjoyment of life. We had plans of

Sup guys just some piccys of the side project me and the missus were working on for the last couple of days when we had some free time, i found the 2008-2010 model scion xb of my car ( which is a rc shell ), i decided to buy it, it already came white so i didn't have to spray it either which made it abit easier, the front grills were a touch different but we tried to mimic the real beast as close as possible ;), its pretty much down now except for the white eyelids i am going to make out of white vinyl, i also made a cardboard platform underneath, i attached abit of velcro so i can stick it on

  34. MY JOURNEY SO FAR FAR AWAY I bought this car off a mate, after owning one in the past I loved them to bits and couldn't resist buying another. I would have loved a manual one but the costs were 12-13k. I ended up picking up this baby for around $6k and was lucky to have a pretty impressive collection of mods including 17x7 +38 A-Tech rims, Blitz cat-back exhaust, Apexi N1 ATS silencer, Blitz DSBC spec R, Blitz radiator cap, Blitz boost gauge, Largus Coilovers and EBC Greenstuff Pads All Round. There were a few issues that needed to be resolved such as the non working sunroof, noise at Front

  36. Hi Rich. I have an 07 Aurion with the same issue. Seems to be a growing problem for toyota spanning a few models. I contacted toyota and they said they won't help. I'm thinking of taking this further. Reflection is bad when driving and resale value has obviously plummeted. Not sure if this would affect airbag operation.

I have read that the car has to be under 10 years old, but I do not know this to be true. Here is the page. You will be welcome, however you will be removed if you come on to slander or bag out TMCA. Otherwise, all members are keen to help, and there is a list of places where the dash has been replaced. I was told that mine had a one year warranty on the new part, and the work done was excellent. We also have members with melting dashboards on Mazda cars o
