    thanks for your valuable input silvabullit! Ill direct him to a dealership and see how it goes :) His came with a TRD shortshifter which i hope won't make too much of a difference to a warranty claim

    he just bought it, and its got 30k. k's on it! BLKVVTIL - how did you get them to rebuild? This only happens at high revs, not during normal downshifting also: omn1potent, you ever used a non stock clutch?

    Hey everyone, just took my mates new sporitvo for a bit a wrap last night, and i found that going 3rd down to second (heel-toe downgear) i get the most awful crunch when i try to slip it in gear. This is with clutch on the floor, revmatch go for 2nd and crunch back to neutral, then into 2nd no problem (on the 2nd go) does this have to do with that clutch adjustment issue? Merthinks its time for an exedy sport organic

    Yes it leads to unnecessary injuries and/or death. I'm simply expressing my own opinion so back off. Get off your high horse you ******wit. The video in which the car ends up in the river is what happens when you change gear mid corner, weight all goes to the front and really upset the balance of the car - and man the guy didn't countersteer enough - but tahts how we learn, we make our mistakes.

    CAI is a silly concept in itself. Have you considered how got throttle bodies get? Considering they're right above all the workings in the engine bay, weather the air is cold or not makes no difference, as it just heats up as soon as it passes through the throttle body.Get a induction pipe, and feel how hot it is even after a few minutes of driving! Its hot!! My point is a short ram will do just as good a job as a full TRD kit, but TRD gear is covered under toyota warranty as it is a toyota OEM part. Food for thought....

    prey you dont bend or break a cusco, as you will be up for a new set if one breaks or your damage it. Driving a car into the gutter is a good example of an accident that will require a full new set of coilovers, not to mention labour charges of un-installing broken items and re-installing new items. Go the teins.

    instead of paying 500 for springs and then 1000 for new shocks when your old ones kark it, as well as two sets of labour - buy some coilovers. It is a much more pracitcal option - and while more exepnsive upfront - you will end up paying less over the life of the coilovers. TEIN super wagons can be had and fitted for around 1600 bucks. I STRONGLY reccomend you choose this option :)

    well basically the sparks (orange kind) come from the bottom of the car (can only see it happen when the car drives past after big first and into second). If it was anything scraping on the ground, im sure it would be heard/felt. Maybe i ought to take this to toyota! if anyone has any other ideas, let me know!

    come to a complete stop when engauging reverse. that will solve your problem.

    I know of this corolla that emits massive sparks from the front of the car after a hard first gear and slam into 2nd. Is this normal behavior? My mates mirage sparked the same way when you sit in on limiter and drop it into 'drive' anyone seen this before? 2zz stivo btw
