Having owned a 2000 model Camry and been extremely happy, I am somewhat upset with the harsh ride in the ESP fitted 2007 Altise. I don't know if the previous version without ESP is similarly afflicted, as I haven't driven one. It isn't a patch on my old 2000 model. Have Toyota stiffened the suspension to make the ESP work properly? Feels like it is heavily over-damped both on bump and rebound (front and rear). I wonder if any alterations are made, reducing the damping, will it affect the operation of the ESP. Has anyone tried to improve on this?
