I never sat in the back with music on I have crappy alpine DDlinears in the back and they don't seem that much better than stock to be honest (volume wise). Best bet is to go for a headunit, then 4-way amp, then change the speakers if your still not happy with it.

Hey ronny, congrats on your purchase. Nothing wrong with the new sportivo's, I test drove one a week ago when I was looking for a new car and they handled pretty well. I'm from perth, had a normal corolla, would have a sportivo now but I fell in love with a MY03 WRX instead which was far too good to pass up. You around north or south of the river? Go to uni? Bruce is excellent!!! TRDsales.com are extremely good and provide an incredible service. The dealings I have had with Bruce would be the second best service I have had (www.modyourcar.com being first). I have recommended Bruce to all Toyota enthusiasts I know of! My only problem is I think Bruce is a bit sick of us Toyota nuts and has stopped providing more of an online service which puts me off to be honest. I prefer to shop online rather than phone up and order something, only my personal preference though. The price is highish for TRD supplies as it is anywhere. ITS TRD!!! I would have been fussed about the price had the service not been so exceptional! But I don't need TRD good anymore.. not unless they start making parts for Subaru WRX's :P

From what i've understood the mods that have been suggested all have pretty dramatic changes on the feel of the car. I wouldn't know about kw increase, there would be some but being an NA car its hard to squeeze out any more power of such a finely tuned beast. However im 99% sure the handling and feeling of the car changes for the better. I have an ascent with a few of these mods and boy does it make the car drive different. Warranty is always an issue with a few of the members. From what i've understood, unless the modification that is added actually causes the stuff up, then its covered. Thats my basic grip on what members on these forums have found out. Toyota dealers don't fit the parts as far as im aware, if they do then its friggin expensive. I would just go with a trusted mechanic. Springs should be fitted at a suspension shop. Unichip should be fitted and tuned by an official unichip dealer. Cold air intake can be fitted by anyone. Extractors should be fitted by an exhaust shop. Quickshifter, clutch and flywheel should be fitted at a general decent mechanics. Thats only my opinion. I'm one that hates dodgy installs so il do as much as I possibly can to avoid having to go and get something installed twice for no good reason.

I would have thought $50 each would be the cheapest your going to get it in perth. I always go to a 'romanos' panel beater, they tend to do an ok job. Realistically all of them in perth are rip off merchants who don't do very good jobs.

What i'd love to do sometime is simply place a corolla shell over something like a holden tourana (spelling?) or newish commodore and go to the snakepit (burnout place at drag place ) I would just love to see the look on all of the bogans faces as they watch a 'corolla' smoke it up just as well as any holden or ford. Getting 12 seconds out of a corolla is easy... supercharge it with a 3.4lt supercharger, tell everyone your corolla levin is a sportivo and your all set.

If you could post prices of the bodykit up here after you have found up then that would be much appreciated, im looking to get the whole kit.

My CAI only sounds loud until the point that I accelerate for the first time, then it shuts up unless I put my foot down, then it can be heard a mile away. I would stop worrying about little things like this dude, when the car blows up you know something is wrong.

Well if you have a manual car then you have many options. If you have an auto then your stuck with the TRD ecu unfortunatly. For the ecu however you will have to look at more than just brands. It is important to go to the person who will be fitting the supercharger for you and talk to them about ecu since they will be the ones tuning the car. If you can't find anyone to tune the ecu for you then there is no point in getting the ecu to start with. Instead of listening to people about what brand is better (unichip is my personal fave) It is much better to simply enquire around your area and find out who you trust as a tuner.. and once you have found a tuner that you are willing to stick with you will find your options are even more so limited in choice. I have been in talks with lots of people over the past week over this issue around Perth. My auto gearbox is a pain in the a$$ to say the least. Its pretty much either TRD ecu or another expensive option. EDIT: damn you 1zz-fe!!! Beating me to the reply

Where did you get TRD extractors for your Ascent? They were only made for the sportivo as far as I was aware.

I'm aiming to have a charger under my bonnet within a year hopefully, will have to see how things plan out. Hopefully I can then match the stock time of an ascent My cars too heavy to go anywhere... runs a 17.6 quater mile when a stock one will run 16.6 Then again my car is automatic and the 16.6 stock is with a manual.

Whats your 1/4 mile time Northy? I'm curious as to if there is anything mechanically different with the sports version of the ascent. My Rolla ran a 17.4 best down the strip. I would assume my output to be around 85kw roughly, havn't had it dynoed yet. My mods are TRD CAI, Remus exhaust (from cat back), Genie headers After I get the exhaust completed I think il get myself a dyno reading of the car.

I got the game today, didn't pre-order or anything just walked in and grabbed the last copy. To be honest I never got on too well with the other GT series games.
