  1. I saw one in singapore when there were still very few of them around, its was completely debaged and ran blackened lights everywhere. it looked like a full on SICK mystery car man. ← what model was it? link has expired
  2. I had a 2001 Camry V6 averaged about 10.8l per 100km. (but thats on the open road, around the city in stop start traffic it was a guzzler)
  3. I have a Nikon D70s, AWESOME digital Camera came with two large lenses and a 1G Flash card.
  4. Thanks rolla2 for the e-mail, VERY HELPFUL, will work on it this w/e if I am not out of town and take pics along the way on how I did it. cu rdav
  5. just like my old rav (three years in this pic) rav.bmp
  6. Pass on the synthetic chamois, get a leather one, lasts for ages, had mine for 4 years, bit tatty now but still does an excellent job and as the others have said let it soak up the water then wring it out start from the top of your car and work down. The leather Chamois are a bit wierd when new hasa waxy kind of substance which I think is like a wax of some sorts, once that has worn if your pait work comes out sparkling!
  7. The mounting hooks are welded/bolted to the chassis. Put some Olive/Vegetable Oil on the rubbers and they will slide off easy. The Seca definitely has a flange which can be unbolted. Will try to scan and email to you today. Cheers T. ← EXCELLENT, thanks for that!
  8. Correct ! You have to remove the heat shield and drill a clearance hole in it (or something like that) There is a flange near the rear axle which will enable the muffler to be removed (undo 2 nuts/bolts) I think I still have the instructions which I could fax to you if you like ? ← Thanks for your advice, just jacked the car up and had a good look, looks like I have to remove the rear bumper as well to get the bolts through the chassis tubing? looks like a bit of a mission, but will give it a go, thanks for offering to fax, but in NZ, if you have a scanned copy that would be great reece@woosh.co.nz "You have to remove the heat shield and drill a clearance hole in it (or something like that)" Yeah I think I need to drill a bigger hole in the heat shield for two bolts to fit through. Question, would the tow bar be attached directly to the chassis and then the heat shield to the tow bar? or the other way around? "There is a flange near the rear axle which will enable the muffler to be removed (undo 2 nuts/bolts)" Looking at the exhaust it looks like it is welded to the chassis, look at pic 3, there is a bit of metal welded to the exhast which is attached to some black rubber thing? Any ideas on how to remove the exhaust? Cheers!
  9. here is the tow bar, all the bolts line up with the holes in the chassis, just that the exhaust is in the way.
  10. Can anyone help, I got a Toyota towbar off a 04 corolla wagon and am attempting to put it on my corolla sedan. Problem is, it looks like I will need to take off the exhaust but how?? It looks like it also has a thin metal covering over the exhaust that is attached to the chassis and I think I have to remove that in order for the bolts from the tow bar to be attach to the chassis. any help would be appreciated
  11. Especially the carbon fibre bonnet (I assume) dunno bout the bum
  12. The new US Civic gets a thumbs up from me. It has some similar styling ques from the current corolla sedan especially from the rear quater view. I wonder what the next generation corolla will look like?
  13. Wouldnt have a clue and probably a bit off topic but NZ has a large used JDM vehicles market, cheap vehicles (but high in quality) access to a wide range of vehicle parts and most models that are'nt sold outside of Japan like the Toyota Verossa. It was the deregulation of the vehicle market which removed vehicle tariffs back in the early nineties and which basically killed any vehicles being built up in New Zealand. Toyota like all other brands were forced to import vehicles fully built up and turn the old plants into refurbishing used JDM's, Toyota places these types of vehicles under their "signature class range" If OZ were to implement such a strategy it could potentially hurt local producers, wouldnt be a good sign for Holden or Mitsubishi etc.
  14. Do we get a certificate? :P
  15. Probably why I havent seen it we don't get the Ultima in NZ, I think the comparable model here is the GLX, with the base being the GL and then there is the T-sport and the sportivo here is called the GT. We get the leftovers me thinks.
  16. I wonder why this dashboard was not included in the facelift model corolla for downunder? I like the JDM dash apart fom the garish wood bits. Is this for the future new model? or did we just miss out on this altogether? <_<
  17. The thought had crossed my mind but Azza's tips did work, Cheers Azza :D
