  1. looking good adam. car looks pretty good.
  2. Pull off the bottom oil pan and inspect the pick-up screen... most likely its lodged with sludge. if that doesn't work you can always clean up the top end then replace the oil pump behind the timing cover if the sludge is not too severe.
  3. Bingo, use your old key and pick up a new master then have them erase the old and program the new. they won't be able to do anything with your stolen key

  5. USA, East Coast bout 30 minutes outside of new york city. thanks for the welcome :D ...would have helped if i posted in the right area
  6. depends on your driving habits and maint habits but something may occur with no fault. may it be a crank bearing decides to give out or your wheel bearings lock up...its just good insurance for the unexpected. i have it myself on the rav4
  7. i have the same problem in the sportivo aswell. its really bad when you pull out onto the street and have no power with a car tearing down the road towards your drivers side door. yeah it revs up clearly in neutral but not once the clutch is let out. i always just put the foot down and it feels like it is clearing out the airways. What? No cars should have to "clean out the airways" before they drive properly. It sounds like your car is struggling under load, which could be a whole host of problems. it seems like it does struggle a bit. but i must add this is when i dont warm her up at all. turn the key and off i go. i try to warm it up for at least 30 secs but it is not always possible. it is only within the first minute of turning it on then it goes away. i really have to put my foot down to get her to move, and if i dont it drops to about 500rpm and nearly stalls So what code is now stored? if the maf is severely dirty it will either throw a lean code or your fuel trim will be out of wack. possible measurements of the maf at idle and 2000 rpm would cancel that. Also first hand i have seen the rear o2 sensor cause drivability issues when cold.. there won't be a fault code and majority of the time when checked the wavelength is correct.
  8. after seeing a blitz s/c on ebay i was curious and ran a google search... now this is where i ended up. Nice to see some different vehicles. Wish we had the hatches here :( specially 2zz wise. Little bit about me and the cars. I've been with Toyota since 2001 turning wrenches and now spending my time on the technical side of things. I love em' and its kinda why u see me and my fiance have 3 of them. She drives the rav4 daily and i stick to the 2006 for my 2 and a half hr commute each day. Both vehicles have there minor bolt on's. My toy is the 2003 corolla. Shes an eye sore...brown in color and looks stock to a point. Until you hear the blower screaming or take a seat inside. Anyway... thats about it. I'll be lurking :P
