My mate calls my Aurion a Camry. Mostly I don't care, but every so often I'll correct him and say either... "Correction, Camry on steroids." or "The Camry's bigger cousin." motsly the former. :P

Sunshine/St Albans area etc isn't THAT far from me. Half an hour? :P

True story. I need to get out and drive more. Especially around where vinh and that are. So I can be noticed and put on this awesome board haha. :P

That's unfortunate. :( I also have some unfortunate news, I am probably not going to be able to make myself due to other commitments. Plus I'm always way too tired after meets and I really need the next day off work or something. Now with all my leave gone due to the fact I've taken it all right now leaves me real no choice. :( Sorry guys.

Yeah at the moment there isn't a whole lot going on. I'm more focused on some other things to my car at the moment so the exhaust stuff is on hold.

That FMW Headers for the 2GR-FE. How do you think those would go over the stock ones we have in our engine bays now? Also it seems those headers don't have the sensors that our stock one has either so it would be pretty painful to try get working for us wouldn't it?

Okay... I was coming back from Bendigo to Sunbury on Sunday afternoon and I was on the cruise control set at 110km/h. I was approaching a downhill section which the car was starting to pick up speed, as this happens the engine revs cut down due to the excess speed. However as the speed gets to around 7-10km/h over the set 110km/h speed setting, the gearbox has automatically geared back from 6th to 4th without my intervention. As a result, engine braking has occured and bought the speed back to 110km/h as set. At this point the engine braking is held until the gradient of the road levels out and the gearbox switches back to final gear. This has happened to me since I've had the car from 2008. :) Just thought you guys might like to know that's all.

That would be your exhaust mount. That keeps the exhaust safe and sound from extreme movement.

Agreed! I got to have a sit in the Rukus aswell and I must say it's a great car. Although I'm a bit skeptical on the price points. I think they're a tad overpriced for the age market Toyota are trying to reach. But who knows. :)

This was more a what did I do to my car yesterday. But I decided to mount the GoPro HD HERO Camera in some external places on the Aurion instead of inside. I must say dispite the road surface I drove on (our roads are crap), it held up pretty well. Hardly any bumps or wobbles on the Camera and the suction cup mount rocks! :D So I made a because I never actually heard my exhaust at wide open throttle under load at all since I got the exhaust haha. So I decided to try mount the GoPro on the rear bumper and see what it would be like. It wasn't too bad. :)

I have a bit of trouble visualizing your driveway Tash :P maybe picture will help..lol do you know what gap or height you can pay with in regards to your driveway? Coilovers does not automatically mean it will be a harsh ride. You'll be surprised how comfortable coilovers can be; and no, they were not on soft damper settings but on medium. Obviously with coilovers, you can make whatever height you want to; lower it to a point that it doesn't scrape your driveway. :) In regards to de-badging, I would take everything off except for the 'sportivo' and rear Toyota emblem, because that is what makes your car unique compared to other Camrys! :D Peter. Peter. The driveway is a bit strange. Excuse the rough mspaint drawing but this is roughly how I remembered it. Now my Aurion's just sitting on King Springs all round, and Tash and I were in the car only. No additional weight. That's roughly where it touched, along the footpath entering her driveway. With coilovers it would prolly be a better experience as you said, you can adjust the height. - Nathan

I might mount the gopro camera to the backside of the car and record.

I just spoke to Grant this evening, he had an excellent time with us. Unfortunately he doesn't use the internet a whole lot so having him on the forum here with us is a bit pointless haha. Although he has an Audi at the moment. I am trying to lure him into the Stivo clan, he really liked some of the rollas going round. :P
