I just got though a set of front rotors after 30,000Km's.....really bloody strange considering i haven't even changed the pads YET!....Thats what a Warranty job is for~

I've adjusted the length to fit but it presses against the silver metal pipe as shown in the pics, i don't want to snap off the pipe mounts/is there a way to shift it down? Anyone else had this problem>

Front struct brace for sportivo?
Two beers replied to Two beers's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Thanks guys, Guess i'll be searching for a whiteline brace by the sounds of things....now i just got to find myself a connection down in canb:-) -
Interested in purchasing a front struct brace and just curious whats the prices people have paid for them. I see there's a few brands around like TRD, curso, whiteline etc, I really don't mind the finish afterall they look like their made of the same material and thats what counts for structural rigidity, right? I guess whiteline will prob be the cheapest cause its local.....any pointers on price and place to buy would be much appreciated:-) Two beers

Rob u've always got something on the boil! Whats to say i think ur conscience has told u already...just do it all~ By the way u goin' to get a front struct brace? r they really worth it/do they just do bugger all honestly in >structural rigidity/handling by themselves...hmmm. Let me know. Looking forward to seeing a very nice RED sportivo when ur done...just to prove that red cars go faster!

Just finished my STUPID EXAMS such a relief.....time to sleep time....... BUT before i fall into a coma, is anyone keen to catchup on sunday. I've got a craving to pull off my front bumper and take out the plastic inserts and put some mesh in. But i'm thinking 2/> brains are better than one...v unqualified engineer! Let me know people. Also, where's gd cheap place to get a front brace...is there really any difference at all with only that installed.......i understand that its designed to> structural rigidity.....but really what r the real effects if any? My no is 0416226467 just so i don't miss another meet! Take care...and gd luck for anyone who has exams left:-)

OH man! Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time! Been too damn busy to do anything but organise the ANU Engineering ball this wk & look what happens......U all had a blast w/out me:-( a sad, sad, day........or maybe it's the craving for a beer again after friday night...hmmm i don't know. Once again the real qu is yet to be answered.......i think i am replying to my ol' qu? Insanity!!!!

I've never had that prob in my '05 sportivo. After doing my skid driving course few months ago and doing plenty of emergency brakes (at lowish speeds<60km.h) i've realised that the ABS threshold kicks in alot earlier than before.....maybe the computer learns? I reckon few practice in a quite place should tell the story......ABS failure should also have a light on the dash too...my two cents:-)
-
Has happened to me too once on gravel road (suspect stone got between disc & pads) & once on normal bitumen for no reason, just stopped...inspected & was OK......hmmm unexplained phenomenum i tell ya:-) Seconded. Micky T would agree too
-
Haha...oh i see what u mean....tho it does sound like a challenge:-) just kidding.....still nursing a hangover right now so prob talking **** & best ignored! So mick got anything to say?????
-
Ditto.....hmmm...how about we go all of the above in one crazy trip! :-)
-
Nice:-) As much as i want to do so much stuff....saving every penny right now for o/s trip to US end of yr.....costing a arm & leg! So going to high rider for quite some time to come:-) "Money can't buy happiness, but you can't do bugger all w/out it!" Cravings of doing something to the rolla are growing by the min. tho.........

Well with a exhaust like Mike's who could blame him! Been a little lack of lift of late. (Home-Work = 4km) Engine's still cold by the time i stop it damn it! :-) But how's ur ride of late......coilovers yet......? Yeah I agree. When I wonder. How long is a piece of string? How does the universe operate? How much will Mick hit Lift by the end of the week? I do not know (well, except the later )
