    Towing

Hi Tick. I don't know, I thought that was normal till i started reading these posts. When we go to Melbourne from Adelaide (Gawler) I normally get about 800 - 900 km to a tank on 98ron unleaded. *without the van of co****. We fill up in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and depending on the weather & wind I can normally get into Mill Park with a sniff of juice left. I use the cruise control, and have the car serviced regularly. Mind you I drive like an old woman :P
  2. Mate. I upgraded the globes in my 1992 Tarago to 90/100's about 1995. I have enough light to blind possums, burn the retinas from on-coming drivers and melt the tarmac at 100m. Absolutely no change to the lenses in all that time. actually, now I think about it, I've never had to replace a globe since. :D

    Towing

Hi Wallrus. I've been towing my Jayco pop-top van (about 1000kg fully packed) for several years with my 1992 Tarago. Only problem I ever had was on the first trip where I killed the diff. Had it replaced with a Hilux diff centre and it hasn't missed a beat since. Most recent trip to Vic & NSW from SA this christmas was still averaging about 650kn to a tank with wife + 3 kids and so much crap in the car that I couldn't see out the back. :)
  4. Hi Gecko. I had the same prob with my 92 Tarago. Best solution - I went to Hino Truck spares and purchased a set of truck wiper blades - $11.00/pr.
