  2. yeh im fron oak flats/balarang area too... yeh im not sure about a mate with a levin or wotever, the only thing i can do is try b4 i buy the rims... hopefully they fit... thanks mate, if u got an msn addy, PM me, well have a chat... cheers, thanks for ur help... actually mate, i see a greenish seca get round oak flats with those 15s on it... is that urs? that seca is wot got me thinking about putting those 15s on my hatch... is that urs? cheers mate...
  3. ok thanks. yeh its a hatch ive had 17"s on my car and they JUST touched the spring cup, but like 0.5mm so they were no good, but those were 7" wide, (not sure about offset)... with 205/40/17 tyres i thort that since these 15s are 6" wide they should be OK? or am i wrong? DARN IT... was just about to buy a set... what offset do i need to look for, for my car? thanks... PS: where abouts in gong u from?
  4. hi there, just enquiring whether or not 2003 conquest 15" rims will fit on my AE92 corolla/nova the tyres on mine at the moment are 185/60-R14, and the new ones will be 195/(50 or 60)-R15 and offset 45. what is the offset on my AE92 corolla/nova? will these fit? will the new rims scrape or anything (on the springs/shocks or anything like that?) thanks for any help... cheers...
  5. ok my plan was fairly simple... pod filter in a stock airbox upgraded stock air feed another feed from front bumper... wots wrong with this idea? it stops hot air from being sucked into the pod? sounds logical to me?
  6. yer the airbox will be in the stock position, but there will be another induction from out of the front of the bumper...
  7. yer since there is so much controversy regarding pod filters suckin in hot ait from under the engine bay, ive decided to customise a stock airbox and have a 2nd cold air feed from somewhere in the front... (as well as an upgraded bigger stock one)... and have a pod filter in the airbox... sound good or? any other suggestions would be appreciated...
  8. speaking of prevention... is there anyway to prevent water from entering the piping of the CAI? (that is the piping leading into the airbox) may be a stupid question but im curious... any particular things? im making a custom CAI so itll be made from near scratch...
  9. ok for the door pods/spacers... this is what i did in my sisters car... (2001 AE122R) obvioulsy take off doortrim and drill out the rivets of the metal mounting brackets... get yourself some 9mm mdf and trace the mounting bracket onto the mdf and cut it out... you will have sort of a triangular shape... cut out ur speaker hole next... line up the existing holes and drill them into the mdf, use some small bolts, or small screws with small nuts and secure the spacer into place, screw ur speaker in an voila ur done. also, 9mm was used according to he depth of her speakers, find out the depth of urs before using 9mm... in our case this cleared the window mechanism aswell as the inner ring on the doortrim... (turn over door trim and ull see the inner ring i m talkin about, this "butts up" against the foam surround of the metal bracket, u following?) before i mounted the spacers i gave them a coat of "clear" from a pressure pack can to make them water proof... i also have 2 spares that are waiting to go into my others sisters corolla, (2000 AE122R) (same model) so if i can find em, ill take a pic and show u the spacer... ALSO TAKE NOTE: the triangular spacers are not symmetrical so they HAVE to go on a certain way, to match the contours of the inner door skin. and i *think* left and right sides are slightly different. hope that helps u... heres a pic of the finished product... with speaker mounted... if u need pics of the actual things then let me know... fairly basic really... please post any comments or questions regarding my method or finished product EDIT: Pics wont work...? dunno wot the go is there...
