  1. Also being that the car/motor is earthed better u may see a few other benifiets in using an earthing kit, these include : Brighter Headlights, More Power from motor, Easyer starting due to starter motor being better earther And audio benifiets with better grounding for head units/ amps etc

After reading all the pros and cons of earthing kits, I don't believe they provide any advantage and its more for just bling and gimmics for a car.

The only time it will be useful is when the engine has been removed out of the car for rebuild or replacement. Also late model cars have more than one earth source for the engine.

A good battery or a voltage regulator are a better investment IMHO instead of more clutter in your engine bay.

  2. That's one ultra rare kit you got. And I cannot even recall seeing the fog lamp for it either.

And I think that kit got the best rear spoiler too.

It should be the only one in Australia right now. I'm soo tempted to buy a celica just because of this kit. I've been eyeing out carsales to see if there is one forsale with that colour

  3. That's the Celica Tsunami edition bodykit isn't it? How did you managed to get that?

    Fo Shizzle ma Nizzle!!! :yahoo:

Complete Tsunami kit only sold in Canada and US.

Just say it was meant for a Celica in a previous 200X Motorshow but realise Toyota is not bringing the kit here.

  4. i hope you guys had fun, i just got back from a night out at cronulla. wish i coulda been there. no1 fell into a ditch right?

    =)

    Everyone got through safe.. lol

I got stuck at a traffic light just before the run, so didn't see anything that happened up front

Everything up front was good, was quite enjoying watching cappa bounce around on the bumpy parts and disappear on the smooth :P

Good turn out with about 6-7 cars and there was only one sportivo!!!

Reason why I actually prefer to take the Corolla through RNP....I know if I Corolla I know for a fact the RX8 would not of gotten far (up tell that straight I was loosing in the corners in the cappa and I wasnt even pushing hard )

But yeah I love that smooth section if you couldnt tell :D

lol...hitting the late night spirited driving again?

  5. Be careful with fibreglass kit, and no one seems to like Carmate either.

I did however saw a very nice TRD replica which completely fooled me into thinking it was an authentic TRD as the weave is perfect smooth. Shop around for replicas, I am very sure there are very nice quality replicas around.

But if A+ quality is mandatory, then it is unfortunate because TRD kit is discontinued. Call up Toyota see if they any stock left, but I am sure the front bar is not in stock anymore. Side skirt, rear valance, high spoiler and front lip may still be available.

    Good luck~!

most of the time the Replica needs to be slightly modified to provide perfect fit. I suggest try to find the original as possible.

If not, I do have this kit sitting in the shed waiting for the right car to come along

  6. my latest adventure....with some very wealthy companions

Got invited to a Burrows Drive Day at Eastern Creek. My first ever drive there.

No timing allowed but using incar video footage and Ulead DVD MovieFactory timing, I've calculated that my fastest time is around 2m19s on Federal 595.

  7. 80 Regino De Guzman 1:21.8840 1:20.3020 1:19.6620 then they switch it off :(

That really ****** me off too! comparing I know I cracked the 1:20 in the Cappa but I got no proof! :(

    Welcome Reggie!!!!!

It is very fustrating, good thing I have this video to prove it and was able to get the time out of that.

  8. nice drive on the track, seems like youve done it quite often

and so is mowing their lawn

I went from 1:22 to 1:18.8 in 4 track days. But IMHO, the last two track days is the most improvement personally as the car was kept at the same spec with no modification. An improvement of 1 second from 19.7 to 18.8 which I'm pretty proud to achieve. Also bear in mind that the car is just over 1.5tonnes and 86rwkw.

  9. how much would it be to sandblast and powdercoat 17s and is it a one day job ?

I doubt it will be...I've heard Neals wheels and Magman can take upto a week to get a set of wheels sandblasted and powdercoated.

Some like Neals wheels subcontracts their sandblasting.

but I'm also looking for someone that can remove gutter rash as well.

  10. Brad-dreama..... What are you looking to do?.... As in Powdercoat/Sandblasting?? Give us a shout. I might be able to help.

I put a picture here to see if your interested ....... Just a demo spring for my desk in "Crystal Jade"

    Cheers

    SILVERBACK

How big of an item can you sandblast and powdercoat? and are you able to organise the removal and reinstall tyres?
