  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA doing it as a stir mate just reading through some posts and see the same things over and over again just makes me laugh Hahahaha !! nice
  2. Hey mate, I'm still interested in the rims. Would you accept 1200 for them? Dave.
  3. Hey mate, Congrats on the purchase ! looking forward to seeing the mods. Should really get a photoshoot happening soon for the Syd locals. Dave.
  4. Hi guys, After my regular workshop closed down late last year, I'm looking for a new place to take the 'stivo to for regular servicing in the Sydney area. I've been thinking about either MRT or Belgarage since they both do logbook servicing for modded cars. Might be a good way to maintain the mods and to discuss further mods with them? Just wondering - has anyone had any experiences with them? good or bad? is it worth taking the car to specialist workshops like these over your general workshop around the corner? Looking forward to comments! Cheers, Dave.
  5. Hey BKS - I can't seem to open the pics now. Is this because of the transfer to the general section ? Dave.
  6. Hey guys, Just a couple of quick pics I took from a night out with some mates. Enjoy :) Dave
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. Can any auto repair workshop weld it back together? or do I need to get it done at a smash repairs? Cheers,
  8. Hey guys, Having a small issue with the tailpipe - the metal piece which holds the muffler to the chassis has snapped - not sure if it was a rust issue or something hit it and it broke. Car's gonna be garaged until I can get it to my auto repairer on Monday. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? what did you do to fix it? I was thinking of getting a 'hanger' put in, which will support the muffler from underneath. ANNOYING.. Cheers.
  9. That's because if you're not revving the tits off it, you're going nowhere :P hahahahah!!! nice. 13.0L does sounds hefty though.
  10. Hey guys, Good news to report. Got the car serviced yesterday and got the sump and injectors cleaned, oil changed (to a synthetic Repsol oil - cost alot but worth it), ECU scanned - no issues. Some nuts and bolts tightened here and there. The mechanic said my engine oil was heaps old. He also gave the throttle body a clean. Afterwards, I filled her up with full a tank of BP ultimate and took her for a long long drive today. Looking good so far! I've travelled around 180km, mixed city and highway driving, and only a quarter of the tank is gone. I'll give you guys the final figures once the tank's empty. Btw - my mechanic ranked the fuels (from experience): 1 - BP ultimate 98 2 - Mobil 98 3 - Shell Optimax 4 - Caltex Vortex 98 --> basically, he advised never to use this. Cheers! Dave.
  11. For those who have a CAI installed - do you see any difference in fuel consumption?
  12. Hey mate, I did realise recently that my tyres were running a little flat.. I didn't know that Toyo T1R proxies are made for high psi.. so pumped all 4 tyres from 28-29 psi to 40 psi. Since then, I've experienced an improvement with fuel consumption. The stivo gets serviced every 5000km so it is due for one now - I'll let you guys know afterwards whether there's been a marked improvement. Question --> for those who are using the T1R's, what pressure do you have your tyres at?? Dave.
  13. I've been chatting to Daz, who previously owned the Stivo.. and he was getting an average of 5-600km out of it. He was using Mobil 98 whereas I've changed to BP ultimate 98... shouldn't make that much of a difference though, especially after a few refills. I've been refilling once the petrol light comes on or just before.. so really... I should be able to add another 60-80km to it. Getting an oil change and cleaning the extractors should hopefully help abit. I also might look at getting the pod filter connected to my injen CAI cleaned. Are there any instructions on the forums about this? Dave.
  14. Thanks for the comments guys. I will be getting the car serviced over the next week or two anyway so hopefully that might help. Just wondering if it might be the style of driving - I don't really ride the clutch often - only use it when shifting gears, and when slowing down I downshift to 3rd gear, switch to neutral and let the car slow down naturally to a stop. What's your style of driving guys?
  15. Hey guys, I'm only getting around 400km out of a full tank - mostly city driving, but hardly ever go past 3k rpm. Only use lift once in a blue moon. Is this normal? Cheers, Dave.
