  1. Congrats on the purchase, I drove one a while ago and it was pretty good, I really wanted a new car after driving it. The firm ride is all down to the sports suspension. It will keep you on the road, so you can corner quikcer :) but your likely to faceplant the window while doing so. How do you like the paddles?
  2. Hey there, I was wondering if anyone could help me or has the noticed the same issue. Ive noticed for a while that I get a weird shudder when doing 70. It feels like the car is struggling in a way to keep the speed or its revving too low eventhough it probably doing about 2000rpm. It is almost a shudder, I was thinking something to do with the transmission itself rather than. It is an auto, an it is still sort of there when the o/d is off. Nothing really major I don't think but just wondering if anyone else has noticed something similar.
  3. I have a 02 v6 auto sportivo. It all really depends on your driving. I live semi-rural with a billion traffic lights the highest I ever got was 16.8l, average around 12.5 mark, and freeway driving about 10. wow this is an old topic just realised, probably no longer valid
  4. how do i reset the ecu? it doesnt really worry me too much, 98 is better for the car
  5. I know it shouldn't but it does. It even says in the manual that it might. It's really strange my parents have a mcv20r and it doesn't have any complaints, but I suppose thats what all the extra weight does to an engine. I've had it checked, and I was told a new computer or use 98.
  6. How much was it..? ummm it was free, my cousin works at a dealer i could get u a price if u wanted
  7. Hey guys, I have a 02 v6 sportivo, since I have had it when im doing about 3-4k revs, either with my foot planted or more sedately driving i get a delicious rotten egg smell go through the car I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I've been told its common in the aurions
  8. I use bp 98, i usually get on average 12.3l/100km (manual calc). The dash reading is ALWAYS wrong, and funnily enough my fuel gauge only thinks there is 50 litres in the tank. I do get up to 13.6l/100 from time to time if im only doing like suburban driving (0-80, traffic light, 0-80 traffic light etc) . If the car is run on 91 it runs like crap, pings and uses more fuel
  9. Hey, mine didn't come with a manual I got one from a toyota dealer
  10. I recently bought yokohama's for my 02 sportivo They seem to be wearing pretty fast, I've only had them a year and done about 10,000 or so on them The tyres on the car when I bought there were the hankook's and they seemed ok
  11. Yer I joined, and forgot about it, too busy with uni and such. But I'm here now. Yer its pretty clean especially for its K's. Got a bit of wear in the interior, The drivers seat and door grip are a bit shabby, but the rest is clean.
  12. I Fixed this exact problem today. Take out the cup holder housing. Then just pull up on the surround around the handbrake and gear lever Once that is off unclip the shifter housing. I did this with screw driver, just pushed the little tabs in. Then just pull the globe out. Should find the replacement at any auto shop or servo if you lucky
