    Kluger Price

it's a private sale price with the dealer... a quiet day at the car yard during the election day weekend does wonders for haggling =) oh and i also managed to score a set of front weathershields thrown in upon delivery ;-) nothing much but i'm pretty stoked with the price anyway.
  2. Given that it's off the new car market now, it's unbelieavably impossible to look for detailed specs of the car so i'm hoping one of the TRD owners i here can tell me... what is the stock tyre & wheel size (incl offset) of the TRD Aurion? I just found a set of wheels i like but i want to compare the dimensional differences against the TRD stockie - thanks for your precious help! =) Also does anybody know if you can fit TRD springs onto stock Prodigy shocks?
  3. hey guys we recently upgraded the family car to a kluger so the ol' aurion is now my daily driver (read: toy) lol to be honest i thought the stock aurion speakers is actually quite impressive (compared to other stockies I've heard of) but as with anything, there's always room for improvement and hence i'm considering a 6x9 speaker upgrade (allround) on my Prodigy. can anybody tell me how much space is available on the doors and rear parcel shelf so that when I look at the speaker specs I can check what their mounting depth requires to ensure it won't foul against panels/trim etc? i'm also assuming that i can hook up my new 6x9's using the existing wiring leads that is currently connected to the stock speakers (rather than using the leads that come with the new speakers)? I don't suppose they make any noticeable difference anyway since i'm not using an amp yeah?
  4. thanks for that... I could only find Pioneer AVH-series but nothing that is Toyota/Kluger-specific (as far as steering wheel controls are concerned) Do you have any more info on the AVIC range? A link would help... Also I'd never heard of a PAC control interface - how does it work and who sells them?
  5. I'm considering an upgrade to the Fly Audio satnav like Hado's, but just to keep my options open does anybody know if there are aftermarket dbl-DIN head unit replacements that is compatible with the Kluger's steering wheel controls (2010 model)? One example i've come across so far is the Follow-Me satnav (which i was told is a rebadged aftermarket model from Eclipse AVN4400?) If you know of any other pls list them here so we can look 'em up for details online..Thanks!!
  6. Thanks for the pics! each to their own but the facelift isn't really taking my fancy... somehow the new front end reminds me of the cheap and nasty SUV from China (Great Wall Motors)- not that there's anything wrong with that ;-)

how'd you get leather on the KXR?? Changed to leather from dealer before full delivery are they doing that as an aftermarket fitment on your factory seats or is that part of the options package? how much extra did they charge you for that? i wonder if they'd be willing to do that on the Altitude...hmmm anyway i paid 46K for my brand new 2010 KXS 2WD with 6yrs ext warranty and mats, hoping to pick it up by the weekend - can't wait! =)

  9. ok just so to confirm my understanding: when they say 9 months (or 1 year whatever the interval is mentioned), do they mean the period from the very initial service, or 9 months / 1 year since the last service performed? my car is about to hit 23000kms - how much damage can i expect out of my wallet for this 'service'?? I'm expecting this would only be a minor service..??
  10. well it's always driven with a baby on board so it's never thrashed in any way (i can't remember when was the last time it rev'd past 3500rpm) so should i stick to what the manual says, or what the dealer says? i agree with scootastaxisx6 - the dealer will find any nooks & crannies to rape extra $ from you and i suspect this is one of them would it be something worth taking up with consumer affairs (in case they insist my warranty relies on it, despite the manual saying that it's 12mths/15000kms?)
  11. i got a letter from the toyota dealer itself...
  12. just wondering if any of you have had any reminders sent to you from your dealership about your upcoming servicing schedule for your car? well it's been nearly 6 months since we bought our car and it's only done about 4000kms (driven 3 days a week) one thing i'm particularly annoyed about (and one which was not mentioned to us when we purchased our car) is that apparently Toyota will void your factory warranty if your car is not serviced every 6 months or 10,000 kms (whichever comes first...) Does this sound right? In essence they are locking you in for a couple hundred dollars a year just in servicing costs alone - smells like a rort if you ask me....?! what are your thoughts / experiences?
  13. Looks very much like the HR2 model wheel made by MRR wheels. You can see it here : http://www.mrrwheels.com/hr2.html PS - Also note that many of the B.Boss wheels seem to be based on many of the MRR designs (or vice versa). yeah that's it - i could've sworn i've seen that wheel from a GMAX catalogue sometime ago (they do have other wheels that look exactly the same as each other - ie GMAX Heritage) by the way it looks like MRR seems to be a premium brand from US just wondering if there are replicas being sold downunder and what model they're being marketed as?
  14. that's what i've been wondering about too, but i've checked B.Boss's website, it ain't part of their product lineup... <_<
  15. Has anybody seen these rims before and/or know who it's manufactured by or what it's called? Also does anybody know if they come in 5x114.3 stud pattern for a 20"? Thanks for your help!
