  1. Update

I got my 3a racing pod, I'm a k&n man, always have been.. But my curiosity got the better of me and wanted to try this one because of te claims its better than k&n and was awarded auto salon best filter in 2007..

    Well, its on, and wow..

That detune before lift where it lags abit, gone, refs evenly straight from 1k through to 6.2 then pops aggressively when lift kicks in through to 8k..

    My 2 cents

  2. lolwut? hitting lift in 6th gear? :D u wold be absolutely stupid to break it a second time LAWL

    It's already happened twice haha

Um I think I'll be leaving the cai on, 6th gear lift lol I've tried but i think from memory it just? Makes it in lift, won't go over 220? Memory is fuzzy it was a whole ago lol I've slowed down

  3. Lol sounds like its killing ya you make it sound bad

My car is so much louder since I put the engine mount inserts, might be just the vibration trough the whole car and the panels are about to fall off haha, that and I do have abit of exhaust work and cai,

Can you record it while driving and post us ??!!

  4. Haha as title states, who thinks the sportivo will make it cross country 4,000km, 41 hour drive.. It revs at 4k @ 120 so ? Lol never driven it past the snow fields at nsw-Vic boarder from syd which is 5 hours....

It's a one way drive its not coming back..

Ideas on preps and stuff for the 2zz is most welcome. Thanx in advance!!

  5. I'm going to bump this topic to re-check the current pricing on clutch installs :/ cos what i have recently been quoted is FAR above the $350 that the OP got quoted. And its still 2012 right?

I'm located in perth, car is a 2004 corolla sportivo, and i'm chasing an Exedy HD clutch. I've been quoted ~$1.4k for supply and fit, including fluids etc. This also includes machining of the flywheel.

    What's everyone's take on this?

    Cheers

    Alf

P.S clutch is an Exedy 7334HD.

Firstly I might be moving to Perth! Can I pm you?

    Secondly yeh man bit pricey.

Clutch kit is about 350, machine flywheel is 70

    Oils 80? That's 500, 900 labour is too expensive

It takes about 1.5-2 hrs removal and same back in! So labour should be about depending what they charge per hr..

    Hope this helps

  6. Thanks for the reply mate! Im just trying to go by the sportivo service log. By looking at that, i dont know where they got $700. Guess ill keep asking around

I did a major for a family car, 05 1zz, everything? In tank fuel filter, plugs, oil + filter, air filter, brake fluid, coolant, t/b service $110.. :)
