Hey Everyone, My 05 Sportivo has 81k on it now and since about 77-78k it has been making a weird bearing/rattling noise which has progressively become worse. Im am curious to find out the service intervals of the 2zz engine because i am certain that the rattle is only because the belts/pulleys need to be done as part of an 80k service? If im right, is somebody able to outline what is actually involved in terms of parts and labour etc that are necessary for the service? Plus, if it is a bearing issue - will that be resolved as part of the service? I assume that its okay to go with genuine parts, but while im at it i was thinking of getting the MWR alternator and water pump pulleys. opinions? Im really just looking for someone with some experience to point me in the right direction. Harry.

Hey everyone, Im driving a 2005 stivo and have noticed that the car has developed a rattling sound from the engine bay. I dont get the feeling that its something internal, rather something else, maybe the engine cover is loose or something - i dont know. The noise ONLY happens at 2300 rpm. Just wondering if you have heard of anything similar, before i go tearing my hair out trying to find the problem. Apologies for the vague description, i understand that it could be anything from the information ive given you. Harry.
