Hay guys.. If i fit a CAI on my toyota, would it void any warranties at all? I went to the K &N site and they said they can't make it void becuase it's simply replacing the air filter or something like that.. wasnt quite sure... Any one else a pro in this area? thanx

hay guys, wel i bought the pioneer 9650 and works like a charm.. really nice and impressive double motor as well. never had any problems. i dont think u'll ever need the warranty coz im quite convinced pioneer make pretty good quality stuff...

hay guys, Im looking at getting a CAI done as well.. what type of places would i look for to do it? Apparently coz the camry ATI sensor or watever is attached to the air filter, it doesnt work like a plug and play device with the filter or something.. Im a bit lost hay.. Any one got any ideas? I was looking at getting an APEXI CAI done, but becuase the camry sportivo ATI sensor or watever is attached to the air filter. How did you install it? they said they might need an adaptor or something to separate the sensor but yeah.. Mind telling me how u managed to fit your CAI? thanx mate

well... isnt it against the rules for cops to hide and stuff? i saw in current affair once that the reason y you have speed and radar cameras and stuff is to stop people from speeding, but when you hide, it doesnt stop people from speeding and it's just a scam to make money. I dunno that's my opinion. I dont really like cops. I've had a few bad experiences with them before. They just think becoz they're the law they can fine anyone on any grounds the like. Sorta really ****** me off. U know one good idea though, I think they have it in Sydney or Melbourne, but the right lane on the free way is for overtaking only or more or less a speed lane for drivers who drive AT or Just above the speed limit not UNDER the speed limit. .. Man the ppl in Brisbane use the right lane like a normal lane. They should keep it free where possible. I mean, i usually like to cruise down the right lane and overtake all the slower poeple. ANnoys the hell outa me when you have 3 lanes and 3 cars are both going 90 on a 100 k zone and you can't over take. Stupid drivers....

i thougth amy was pretty good.. i have underbody LED's installed and i was worried to find an insurer that would insure me.. firstly contacted AMII and they were happy to insure my car with the underbodes... i was like oh sweety.. but if something goes wrong.. they dont replace the underbodies, but still.. i thought that was pretty cool. Then i gave RACQ a call and they didnt know what neons were.. well the lady didnt know. She went and asked someone and said their eligal in QLD and if hte police pull u over it's eligal. I was sorta laughing a bit coz AMII will insure it but these guys think it's eligal. (it's actualy ont illegal in QLD to have them.) i checked up with QLD transport; however it's quite tight) So yeah, im with AMII now and i think there pretty cool. Im only 20 and im a rating 2 driving already.. Thought that was great on them.. Also free defensive driving course.. So yeah,, it's worth giving AMII a visit if you want comprehensive insurance.. i thought they were quite cool :)

well... i say just paint over it.. and panel beat as much as you can.. (like door parts). I think a nice paint should cover most of it :) i mean.. unless you REALLy pay attention adn know what your looking for, i dont think the standard person would realise :) yes it's cheap but wil save ya money :) Think of it like this, lets say you repaired up to scratch.. wat if the next few days someone else rams it again.. wouldnt that suck.. u gotta think about stuff like that.. some careless driver banged their door against my side and now it's got a huge dent.. i was going to get it fixed up.. until 2 weeks or so later someone put an egg into my car and it made more damage but at a different locaqtion... then later on i foud another dent towards the front engine side.. then a few more scratches.. (and i bought my car brand new as well). Im sorta over it hay.. we can always be careful but you can't trust the ppl around ya.. I say go for it if u got nothing else better to do with your money.. but yeah... something u gotta thikn about... :) all the best though mate...

well some ppl call them eyebrows but eye lids sounds more cool. but anyway, as u can imagine the headlights would be the eyes. so it's mainly that fibre part that is attached to the top part (usually) of the light. As you can see from that pic, there is a slight white part that stretches across the headlight (what you dont get on a normal stock model). :)

Let say i had a hold of one of these... how would i install it? what exactly are we dealing with here inregards to installation? When you guys say casing, sounds like you just ripp off the old and strap it on back with the new hehe.. someone care to go in to a bit more detail? thanx :)

where would i go to buy one of these chips? And how much power would it increase? is it also one of those programmable ones where you can adjust it whenever you feel like it? How much would the haltec one cost?

hi guys, i actualy went to visit the guys selling that camry PU lipkit. There is one in kangaroo point, or half woolongabba (brisbane). somewhere around there. but um.. yeah it's not really a body kit, it's just a lip kit. If you drive a sportivo, it's not worth putting it on becuase it's basicaly the same, well similar anyway. If you drive like an altise or something, you actually can't put it on coz it wont fit as it's only designed for sportivo body. Therefore, not worth buying unless you want something slightly different. I think the stock model actualy looks better. The guys there are currently ordering an 05 kit directly from Japan as well. (the picture is awefully lowered). I actualy checked out the eyelids though. they were selling for $60 without paint. i thought it was pretty cool and once i can find a painter, i might go ahead. I heard painting it costs a fair bit though??? I can't remember how much the grill costs but looked realy ugly by itself when i was holding it in my hand hehe. But i sorta like the Camry badge on the stock grill :) Hope that's a bit more detail :)

man.. i bought that paint protection crap and environ sheidl.. cost me about 700 bucks... they say u dont have to wax ur car anymore.. suppose to protect ur car from oxidation or watever the word is and environment damage and stuff such as bird poo.. not realy worth it hay.. Even now, i still prefer to wax my car as you can feel the smoothness. :)

So with the alterations. Resetting the ECU wont help? I thought it does? At least a little bit right? I was actualy thinking of getting a K&N cold air intake kit or something. Wat do you guys think?

guys, im geting like 450 K's per full tank. It's so frustrating.. Im on BP ultimate ron 98. How the hell did you get 800 K's? whats ur secret :P

well i've had a few problems of my own... Firstly,, wen you turn up the base, the drivers side door rattles. Turns out there was a scrwe missing? :S Also i hear a rattle on the ride front door. Not sure where it is. Seems like other poeple are getting this too. Starting to get really annoying. This ones a funny one. Coz i have a Gen 5.5 camry, the side skirts were starting to fall off. I mean wen u look at it, the end and front bits of the skirt, where the double sided sticky stuff is applied, it was opening up. Clearly all you need was better sticky stuff. But anyway, the toyota guys said you needed to replace the whole thing coz it's wearing out. So yeah, i didnt complain. THey ordered it and they said the kit wont fit my car. And so they took it back and ordered another one. Wen you think about it, i think they ordered the Gen 5 kit. Those guys need to know a bit more about the cars their dealing with. But yeah, new kit was fix, but it's still pealing off. I just applied my own stiky stuff. Just puts heapz and heapz of it. SOrta works... :) But yeah, Rattle... really annoying... any one got ideas?

OMG, i never knwe it was this serious.. well i definately washed the egg off and soaped it up a few times.. would help? like washing away all the yoke and stuff.. i mean there is open paint.. as in i can sorta see the white coat in scratches but a good scrub should remove the egg remains right?

That test was quite interesting. After all the research, sorta made me want to install a K&N air intake kit or somethign along those lines. Do you guys know much about it? the K&N home page states guaranteed power increase. Thought that was promising. Wat do you guys reckon? Btw, If i installed that to my Camry sportivo, would that void my air filter warranty or anything? Would u guys know who would install this sorta stuff? hi guys, im looking at getting a minor service done and was reading a review about the fasination of a TRD sports oil filter. Does anyone know more about these things and does it increase my power output? Also where abouts would i look at buying one? i just gave my toyota service guys a call and they said they can get one for $95. i was like WTF OMG!! some of the sites (probably US) were selling for 15 bucks.. so tha'ts like max $30 over here i thought. they were probably trying to rip me off. But does anyone know of a cheaper place or brand dealers that would possibly sell this stuff? Im in brisbane. It's for my Camry sportivo 4cyl. '04. Thanks guys :)

:'( *cries* i come wake up this morning and see stiky stuff all over my drivers side door. thought it was chocolate milk or something.. drove the car out to wash it... then i see egg shells... and then i fainted... well not really but yeah.. then i took a deep breath and started to wash down the egg remains. i carefuly scratched off the stuck egg shell remains and then i just hand washed the yoke off with water b4 using soap. i was really hoping it didnt do any damage to my paint job.. (was hoping egg wasnt like coke or anything). but it turns out ok. Until i discovered a small creator in where the egg first had impact. After drying the car, the creator was was etchy and ruff. So i decided to polish the whole side. You can still see it but it's smoother now. :( what to do. I tried to take a photo of it, it didnt turn out quite nicely because of the polish reflecting it. But you can sorta see the creator. Almost looks like a large thumb print in white against my black paint. My poor sportivo... :( Any suggestions guys? Could use a little help. I can't believe poeple these days. Probably jelous... attached are 2 pictures... Thanks guys...

um... so what are the benefits of the sports air filter? How much does it increase your power by? i found a store and they were quoting me $150. im noob
