  1. been a while since i posted, but does any one know or have a link to a DIY grounding set up on a 2AZ-FE? mine keeps blowing out driver lights and break lights. Also stereo dims/lights Dim and Windows dont go down fast enough. any sugestions would be appreciated. :)
  2. Morning to all, First off - WOW forum looks better nice work with the upgrade. Secondly - I have been away from here for way to long... but since i was working in Country town Clare + driving back and forward from Clare to Adelaide (150km there and 150km back total of 300km in a day trip) Plus 4 trips to Melbourne and back, Guess what I HAVE RACKED UP 200K Km.... Now im thinking, those KM are not good... and doing some hunting during the day a second hand 2AZ-FE engine will cost me a Wooping $3,250 and 160k km on the clock... is it really worth it? so my options are - F/E Engine swap? Any one heard of a 3S-GTE swap in 02-06 camrys? - Engine swap with a 02 - 06 V6 engine (sorry cannot remember the engine model but most of you will get the idea) - but will it fit 2AZ-FE running gear? i.e 5 speed manual Gearbox? - Engine Reconditioning? - if this is the case would it be worth changine Pistons, Cams etc etc? Just need a good idea of what to do and what not too do... Would like to budget myself for 5/8k Thanks boys and girls. ALSO when the hell are we going to do a Toyota Cruise in SA?
  3. YES YES YES our ECU in our 2AZ-FE are quite inteligent... but the question at hand is... IF your a heavy driver (sprint/ rev hard/ quick driver) and you switch to Slow driving LOW RPM gear changing (Fuel Saving Driving) does our ECU adjust itself (without reseting) to Accomidate better Fuel Effiancy?
  4. Sound Comes and goes. you can hear it with Stereo off. its not causing any noticible issues. no performance drop out. its just a Electric Whine - Quite literraly sounds like a turbo spooling.
  5. Stylish have you been breaking into my car while asleep and installed a SC when i was fast asleep :o
  6. Hey hey, this has been happening for a while now, but only occours now and then. I would be driving and as my RPM climb i hear a SPOOL whine... no idea what it is, though im thinking it could possible be the Grounding for my stereo? can any one give me any incite? the sound is funny when I drive my clients around (they presume its turbo) but need to know if its anything i should worry about. Cheers :D
  7. Hi Guys, not sure if this has been covered before, but is there any one in USA who is willing to be the drop off for my US ebay purchases and then Ship them off to my Oz Address? Majority of bids or companies that i have rang will not ship direct to Oz, so i may need to Dropship to a Forum Member and then have you ship to Oz. Clearly i would cover all costs.

    TRD Grill

Does any one know where to source the Camry 02-05 TRD grill from? im pulling my hair to find one :P http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/attachment...edium__copy.jpg Like this one
  10. Hey mate, yea put the rims on, but im selling the car soon so im selling the rims sepperatly. i should have some pics lying around.
  11. You can also go FI, Theres a few kits on ebay internation for the 2azfe Scion TC that SHOULD (im getting the kit fitten in the next few months) bolt on dirrectly, however the Intercooler pipping is all wrong, and a Front Mount Intercooler WILL NOT fit the front guards of the Camry unless you muck around with the Radiator Mounting. Also theres Scion TC (2azfe) extractors that will fit the camry, the only problem with them is they might be a few mm short connecting to the Catback, But if you buy them and get them installed by your local Exuast guys they will fix that for you. Suffice to the negative feedback i get off other Toyota Forums, there actually allot of mods that you can do to your gen 5 / 5.5. the engine has allot of performance upgrades in the states... its just a matter of spending the money & time researching and buying from internation sellers. Be prepared to hear allot of "its a Camry! why would you waste money on it" talk from ALLOT of ppl... but if you trully love your car and want something completely different, Then nothing is impossible... nor too expensive. ;) happy hunting ;)
  12. Yeah man, probably; but I wasn't too confident in getting a part shipped in + finding a place to get it fitted. Besides, supported a local business who was more than happy to help me. Couldnt agree more with the finding part + fitting supporting local business and trade... if I could find one that was happy to cater my service
  13. they shouldnt need modifications to fit, the only thing that might cause an issue is the clearance, but i doupt it. also they cost a tottal of $300 Aus to import from the states. I could be wrong... and i could be $300 poorer in a few weeks. However i know that the Turbo manifolds you get in the states will fit the camry. so headers shouldnt be an issue. Just like the TC Greedy Emanige kit... Allot of folk say they whont work on the Camry because TC have a slightly diff ECU. thats a load of Bull > I know a mechanic in clare who turbo'd a 04 Camry 2AZ-fe and used the Greedy Emanige to tune his car.
  14. Doesnt have to be custome. Scion TC manifolds are the exact same as the Camry, Same engine Same o2 Sensors. hence NO problems.
