alpine_vs_sportivo replied to alpine_vs_sportivo's topic in Buy & Sell - Parts and Accessories
There was plenty more parts to go with it but required too many mods to the car to fit them, the car had 4 sets of splits up front and dual coax's in the rear doors as well :D It was a full on system. -

Please help, unknown blown fuse
alpine_vs_sportivo replied to White112Rolla's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
most probably have blown interior illumination, i think in a toyota they act as a main 12v constant supply, will most likely be under the bonnet, get a test light and try every single fuse in the fuse block under the bonnet til u find it, also double check the ones inside the cabin near ur right knee. -

PFC + Install + Tune??
alpine_vs_sportivo replied to alpine_vs_sportivo's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Thanks for the help superdave, i have read that you do a conversion harness for pfc, as i live in cq i wasnt really keen on installing the pfc then drivin it 7 hrs to get a tune lol, however having said that i could always buy all the gear and install it all once i reach the coast then get it tuned i spose. i will most probably buy ur harness for it when the time comes. but id prefer to have all components like headers exhaust and possily cams installed before gettin the pfc and a tune. -
Hi all, i know its been covered ten million times already but im from CQ and want to know where the best place would be to go to get a pfc installed and tuned, brisbane area wouldnt be a problem, prefer to go to someone who has done a heap of these stivo's before and has a good reputation and garuntee of their work. Cheers All

-
hey all i am chasing a centre console for 05 stivo, doesnt matter if its climate controlled or manuall a/c as i am going to use it as base piece for fibreglass build out. condition is not a problem. doesnt have to have the doors, ash tray etc as i only need the shape basically. cheers all

if he is thinking about putting it where the pic indicates then it will definately hav to be the h/u power pack. its only about 6 inches long 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep. its a KTP-445, its a plug n play unit that amplifies the power to 45wrms x 4. retails normally for $199. pretty good little unit.
-
if the amp ur talking about is the headunit power pack then yeah u will be able to get it behind glovebox, u also could put it behind the facia panel. but like said before if u need to ask the question then maybe u really shouldnt do it especially since u need to make pods for them to fit. and u will most probably get the speakers out of phase and u will whinge that the type "s" speakers sound like **** wen really they r an awesome speaker depending on the user.
-
all u can do is giv it a go aye. i would say that you'd be right if he knows nothing about it.
-
if it does need a code it will be a code that whoever oeiginally owned the car/unit programmed into it. they dont come with a code however if u read the manuel u will find that u can programme ur own code. i hav come across this a few times at work.

alpine_vs_sportivo replied to JosephS's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
depending on ur converter it can change the loading on ur headunit and possibly blow it up so spent the money and buy a decent one.. a stinger sven 2 would be the way to go. personally i never do it cos it's not really good but thats my two cents. -

http://www.dnaaudio.com.au/### check the dna website, the wings r on each side of the pocket, dna have just released the wings on their own but cant remember the part number. if u take notice of ur standard player it has rounded sides and is aboit 18mm wider then any aftermarket which is what the wings r designed for, they do the same in kluger, prado 100s cruiser, 200s cruiser, yaris, late model hilux and hiace van, and some echos, theres prolly more but cant remember. -
Headunit fascia installation help
alpine_vs_sportivo replied to azzman372's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
first of all does the player fit into the facia out of the car? is it an ebay player?? cos they usually arent double din. the idea of puttin a player into a corolla is... A. mount player into brackets with toyota wings to fill in the sides B. clip the facia panel to the cd player and brackets. (yes it will clip together) C. slide into hole in the dash and clip it in. D. manouver the facia and player around to make it fit properly then do the 4 bolts up. E. DONE if this dont work the you'v done something wrong repeat step A. -
my guess is ur load mech is dead, have u put any burnt cd's in it with paper printed labels??? also depending on the age of ur player it might just be screwed, i have my factory single disc player if u want ot buy it for $150.
