Wierd, mine works a treat. Had no problems parking it on any of the slopes at the touristy sites at Halls Gap last weekend. The one thing that I'll be getting looked at when the 20,000k service comes up (already had the 10,000) is the reverse gear. Maybe it's just me, but when the car is first started in the morning, and put into reverse, it's as noisy as hell!!! If I then put it in drive and cruise off down the road, the next time it goes into reverse it's all ok. Just recently purchased a 2007 KX-R Kluger and it also is noisy in the morning when putting in reverse for the first time. I am about to have its 30,000k service and was wondering if you managed to have the problem fixed.
