  1. I have now received mod approval from "xoom" for a full Group Buy on the CES CAI for the Corolla Sportivo ZZE123R (2ZZ-GE)

Enough interest has been received. The details are as follows:

The price for 3-10 CAI's with K&N filter (usual retail - $512) has been 15% discounted to $435.20 + freight. That is quite a good saving.

    Here is the rundown:

    VIC:

    1. kewl10_mac - PAID & DELIVERED

All VIC members dropped out so now its just me. Maybe I should drop out too :D

    I guess ill be paying $435.20 + $25.00 = $460.20

    QLD:

    1. HiLift (custom 3" all through) - PAID & DELIVERED

    2. hAmZ - PAID & DELIVERED

Make sure you tell CES in the word doco that you want the custom 3" all through

Each CAI will cost $435.20 as you will be picking them up directly from CES Racing

    NSW:

    1. Rolla & Sao Boy

Yours will be $435.20 + $25.00 = $460.20. You said you would like to organise your own shipping. I cant organise that so you will have to email CES and discuss that with them.

I have been told that with Australia Post, it is very simple and very secure as they are tracked.

If everyone can tell me their email address, i will send you the word doco you need to send to CES.

The little modification requires you to cut out a small section of the inner guard and is done quite easily with a saw. if you can specify ur year too that would be great

    Thanks

  2. I have used Shell V-Power then i switched to BP as i was told it was the best

i found that it really is good, much better than the Woolies stuff (lol to Rolla & Sao Boy)

my best advice is to use one type like other people have been saying and if your not satisfied switch

Remember the sportivo can run 95 but best to run 98 if you enjoy "performance" driving

  3. yeah mate, im ready to get them but im still trying to get mod approval, they havent replied

so do i just put it in the Group Buy section and then wait until one of the mods says "Does this have mod approval" or do i wait for the mods to sign off on it first

  4. i dont own an aurion but i got a Corolla Sportivo.

i bought 205/55/16 Yokohama A-Drive R1's for my car and they are great for everyday driving as they are quiet and fantastic in the wet. theres actually a video on youtube about them on the channel 9 show "The Car Show"

they are also a fairly decent performance driver as they are the R1 version not the standard a-drives but they aren't slicks or racing tyres but even still they are a great daily tyre

but dont know what they will be like on the aurion

    good luck

  5. sorry mate, in exam mode atm

as far as im concerned ones made in USA ones in Aus is about right

i just consider the Aus one over TRD cause CES is made for our sportivo where the TRD is made for Corolla XRS

also, CES have certain parts that ship with the CAI to assist in the installation with the 05 facelift model

i believe the fog light is bigger or something like that

  6. i have been researching CAI's ever since i got my sportivo and i finally will finish my exams on monday so i wana get some things done to my car

really quickly, "the difference between the CES and TRD" topic is everywhere on this forum so check it out, the debate is huge

i reckon we can get the filter cheaper so ill be looking for the $395 option. This is the email is received from CES:

Yes we can definitely offer you a discount for a 2 x off or 3 - 5 off purchase order. Definite savings also in the freight cost as well. Discount will apply to orders purchased together as 1 order and delivered to the ONE destination. Thank you.

    2 x C.A.I. sets 10% Discount RRP $512 each price for 2 now $921.60 [saving $102.40]

    With K & N Pod filter package

    2 x sets [less K & N Pod filter] packages RRP $395 each price for 2 now $711.00 [saving $79.00].

FREIGHT FOR 2 X OFF PURCHASE $28.00 for both delivered to same address together....freight saving $22.00

    3 x C.A.I. sets 15% Discount RRP $512 each price for 3 now $1305.60

    [saving $230.40]

Delete Pod Filter choice 3 x off purchase $1007.25 [saving $177.75]

Same freight costs........$28.00 [Freight saving now with 3 x $47.00].

    So the savings are there

it is just a matter of getting the interest, getting the payments n distributing it

so should i post this in the group buy section???

  7. Looking to buy a CES CAI new. Just wanted to know if anyone else in Melbourne is thinking of getting one as we can save over $100 as they take a fair bit off plus deliver is split.

PM me if you want to buy one

  8. me too, im thinking maybe a group buy??

i saw one tuning shop do them for $300 installed but was told that is quite expensive

on ebay they go from anywhere between $20 and $450

like all things on ebay, id stay away from both ends of the spectrum as the $20 ones will probably be fake and the $450 ones will be lined with gold or something stupid like that

This guy has some good ones i think:

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/H4-HID-CONVERSION-KIT-BI-XENON-HI-LO-4500K-6000K-8000K-/120490132074?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c0dc5826a

good luk trying to find some

  9. Hey guys

sorry to kind of hijack the thread but i didnt wana start a new one cause it is kinda similiar

I have been looking at the Injen website. What CAI model number did u buy because i have an 05 sportivo and want to know what is best.

According to the website, which is America, these are the model numbers:

    - RD2082P (05-06 Corolla XRS)

    - RD2076P (04 Matrix XRS)

    - RD2075P (02-03 Matrix XRS)

Just want to know what will fit without me having to remove or change the position of the battery, fog lights, etc.

I simply just dont wana buy something that wont fit.

    Thanks
