hey, i completed the conversion to a 2jz engine in my GA70, Now im looking for a manual transmission that will suit. will i need to change the diff as well?

So ive decided to go for the 2jz, is there any problems that i should be aware of in the installation?

hi, i have a 1ggte in my 89 supra and ive had to put alot of money in to keep it running, and now the piston rings have gone and i dont have alot of money, time or patience left to spend. solutions? i was thinking of replacing the engine with a better one... can anyone tell me what engine will fit and approx how much they are? thanks

yea i do... oh .. that sounds like it could be right.. never thought of it before.. i have replaced the suspension... couldnt afford the toyota ones... just go ordinary ones...

its a w57 and i want to put it into what was an auto that ran a A40D will it matter that the diff thats in the car is out of an auto? or should that b changed also?

Hey hey, Simply put, is it safe to put a gearbox out of a 2ltr celica, into a 2.4?

Hay, i had an RA65 with a dud engine, so i got another one and swapped the engine over. i also grabbed a manual gearbox (as i didnt have one) out of an RA60 and put that in aswell. Most things from the working engine stayed with it, including starter motor and coil. tho now, it wont start. power is going to things like the lights, dash, even the sunroof, but it just wont turn over. nothing happens when i turn the key to 'start'. What am i missing???? where could the problem be?? im sure everyhting is plugged in the right spot. any ideas?? i have to have missed something... somewhere....

I have a 1989 2lt Twin Turbo with the digital dash. It just got hammerd with some heavy rain. and now there is wat looks to b a warning light... im guessing its something to do with the rear of the car

ok, so lets just say that i just want to improve the performance and power of the engine i have, but not have the same box... cant be done too easily, right?

wel, when i get mine up and running... ill see bout taking it for a run...

the box that was in it was standard. i didnt like the gear ratio, is the main reason im tryin to see if there is anything else. Its an RA65. and the idea is that eventually, the engine will be far from standard.. so? is it still reccomended to put the same gearbox in?
