Hello David, Hello South Africa, hummm how do i start to explain...the parts ( i gather they would be original parts you are seeking) are near non existant here in australia. Im not able to help in your in your quest as im seeking near same parts since 2001 for my next project. Would your fathers car be a PT26L series & lefthand drive?, or PT26R with righthand drive? or maybe a 20 series either or drive?? Design changes are common for each country they were exported too, in Australia the Tiara didnt hit our shores until late 1962 for 2 models 1963 & 1964 then came the Corona & so on. Was the vehicle imported directly from Japan or originated from USA/ Australia. Outside of genuine parts there are quite a few specialists who are eager to duplicate what you need...internet is the best place to source them but its all at a cost.
