  1. Hi mate i had a similar problem on a Honda and i found it to be a faulty heater valve (the valve that controls the water for the heater was staying open) i just had to replace the valve which was pretty cheep and easy. I dont know if the prado has a similar thing but might be worth a look. Cheers Trent

    2009 Kakadu dvd

Hi have just purchased a new 2009 Kakadu and i was wondering if there was any way to modify the wiring on the touchscreen panel so the dvd will play in the front while the car is moving and so the telephone buttons will work while the car is moving. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Trent
  3. Hi all i have just purchased a 2010 landcruiser Sahara and it has 18" rims and i am having trouble trying to purchase a set of after market rims and off road tyres that will fit the 18" rims. Can any one please tell me if i can fit 17" rims on the Sahara and if you may know of any off road tyres that i can put on a 18" rim. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Trent
  4. HI All i have a 05 CV with 96,000 km on the clock. White in colour with rear parking sensors and cargo barrier. Very happy with the Kluger. Last weekend took it for a trip to Sydney and the avg L/l00 km came in at 9.4 on BP 98 octane. I am a little concerned with the price of parts for the Klugers they are a lot more expensive then most cars i have owned in the past so look after your ride's well. Cheers Trent
  5. Hi Cookie sorry to hear about the problems you have been having trying to get the liquid system fitted. I guess i better re think what i want to do. Maybe i shoud just go for the vapour system before the rebate is finished altogether. Cheers Trent

    What tyres?

Didn't ask about the k's to be honest, they set me back $1350 for 5 and wheel alignment, though I did notice they are on special at Bob Jane at the moment (like almost $50 off per tyre - <_< not happy) Cheers, Trent

    What tyres?

I recently put Yokohama Geolandars on my Kluger (16"). Requested a tyre that would handle freeway driving and the ocassional beach and off road romp these were recommended as well as a cheaper brand but I have always been happy with Yokos on my other cars so decided to stick with it. Haven't been off road yet but happy with them so far.
  8. We always used a place called "Littles Child Restraints" look it up in the phone book. Can't tell you how much they would charge tho.
  9. hey hey another gen 1 owner woo hoo. What colour etc? How many kms? Any mod plans? I've just bought a thule roof box and roof bike rack, i highly recommend them if you're the active type. Where are u based? I'll be travelling up to stockon from canberra - but i still have to confirm the date. cheers Matt Hi Matt i have a white 2005 CV Kulger with a cargo barrier for the dog no other mods YET only had it a couple of weeks. It has 90,000 Km on the clock but it is in great condition. I searched all over form Newcastle to the other side of Sydney to find one i was happy with i can be a bit fussy. I live on the Central coast and plan on doing a bit of off road on the Beach's and in the national park when i get it all sorted out with the right bits. Cheers Trent
  10. I had a black Echo and I always washed the car before it goes in for service (if it's not dirty they won't touch it - wont want to waste their time when they have other cars to rush through). Leave post it note on dash saying DO NOT WASH. If you tell the service guys your waiting for the car when it goes in they wont wash it as they want to get it back to you ASAP. Friend works for Limo company detailing cars and told me to always wash my car in straight lines in one direction, the same way every time this stops the slight scratches and if they do occur they are not as noticable because they are not swirls. Had the car four years paint job was beautiful - but I wouldn't let anyone else wash the car, no detailers, wife was too scared to touch it, kids knew better than to touch the paint work (thats why they have door handles) Had lots of problems with Toyota service department, got to the point that the manager would inspect my car before I got it back - think they got sick of me yelling at them! Cheers, trent
  11. Yeah $105 for EACH flap - total of $210. Is the set of four you're talking about moulded? The price for the ones I'm looking at are moulded and painted. The rear flaps are just flat rubber on the 05 model. Thanks for the heads up on the nudge bar price. Cheers, Trent
  12. Traded my Echo in earlier this week, it was metallic black, alloys, spoiler, park senseors, tinted windows, 5 door 05, only had 46000km, best car I ever owned, never a problem, fuel economy fantastic. Got a fantastic price on trade in. Had a Yaris (hire car) for two weeks, absolutely hated it, apart from the bigger motor I found it uncomfortable and too plastic, the boot on the hatch was odd too it had what I can only describe as a step in it and couldn't fit a pram in it. Would recommend an Echo over Yaris any day ( but thats just my opinion) only parted with it as the kids were getting too big. Cheers Trent
  13. Just had sensors fitted to my Kluger, they work well on walls, garage door etc, but seem to be too high to pick up smaller cars - their bonnet is lower than the sensors. Nearly rubbed a Falcon today! Cheers, Trent
  14. Hi All just in case you may be interested i have managed to get 2 quote for an injected gas conversion system fitted to my 05 Kluger at a cost of between $4620 and $4800 and they need 2 days to install the system. But soon there will be a new system out that injects liquid gas instead of vapor gas which will be better to stop valve damage from lack of lube in the vapor systems. Check out this web site for more information on the liquid system http://www.alpgw.com.au. Cheers Trent
  15. Have you tried places like TJM or roof rack city? I know the latter has side steps and nudge bars for the kluger. This is where im getting my roof box and bike roof rack. cheers matt Thanks Matt i have not tried TJM or roof rack city but will do now. I called Toyota and they wanted $105 each for the front mud flaps and $710 for the nudge bar supply only. Not too bad i thought. Cheers Trent
  16. Has any one done a gas conversion to a Kluger or dose anyone know if it is possible to do one to a Kluger
  17. Hi can anyone recommend any places other than Toyota in Sydney to purchase accessories such as side steps, nudge bar, headlight protectors, bonnet protectors. There is not a lot around for klugers at the normal places i would use for these sort of things. Sorry if i am not doing this right i am a newbie to this sort of thing.
  18. I'm interested, have to check if I'm working. Just bought 05 Kluger great car, love to try some off road - I'm a newbie so I have no idea what to do off road - tyre pressures gear selection etc. will there be anyone there willing to teach a newbie and pull me out if i get into a little trouble? Cheers, Trent
