i plan to keep the 5spd manual from the original engine which by the way is a 2sc, the 4age was an option that i was looking at but have now decided to go with an 3sgte from the sw20 mr2 and mate that with the 5spd a 6spd may be the way to go later but for right now im just trying to peice the parts together and work out exactly what i want from this car other then power lol thank for the info clint

No such thing as an MR2 3T-GTE, the early ones (ie AW11) had the 4AGE or 4AGZE (ignoring povo-spec), the mid-life ones (SW20) had the 3SGE and 3SGTE, and late-model ones (ZZW30) had the 1ZZFE. thanks for the info i have been misled i guess, i was refering to the 3s-gte from the sw20,as i said before im sure that it would be diffrent and out there in such an old and nice car like mine, the newer zzw30 1zzfe engine was not an option i wanted to keep to a early- mid 90s theme for the car so the 3s gte being early 90s was the choice as a 4age is hard to find even when you work in the auto parts business. thanks for the info tho clint

thanks for that mate will make some things that i have wondered about easier to cope with lol as for the lsd i will be doing that and if they used the ma61 lsd then i should be able to find info on how it was done and make the job so much easier. im looking at putting the early model mr2 3t-gte under the hood as it would be diffrent and its also turbo straight up so no spending huge amounts buying turbos and other things like that. and thanks for the specs on the engine my car has i wasnt quite sure what engine it was lol thanks so much clint

i looked at the 4age option... turns out that there are not many for sale... tho if you watch ebay you do find some there and they are resonably priced, as for info for swapping the stock engine out for the 4age i have no idea how to do it but ill keep my ears open and let you know if anyone has done it before .. another conversion i have seen is the 1jz from the supra for sale not sure where i seen it tho.... so if you can put a 1jz under the hood im sure that that 4age shouldnt be that much harder to place in thanks form clint

thanks for the site im about to check it out now and yes the ra65 shares mostly the same body differences are the motor and alos the head light the ra65 flips forward and the as63 lifts like the trueno thank you so much for the advice i am looking for a pair of tail light for my car as my brother smashed mine with a hammer.......... other then that car has a few minor bumps nothing that cant be fixed . thanks from clint

hey guys i have a celica coupe (1984 sa63) currently looking at putting a 4a ge under the hood and maybe a turbo not sure yet tho has anyone got any ideas on what this job will take or if this has even been tried/ tested before......... also anyone that can help source parts for this car let me know as this would be a great help i need new tail lights very hard to find objects.... belive the ra60 tail lights are the same any one let me know if this is true??? any help would be great as this is my first build of this type and dont want to mess things up..... p.s. i live in brisbane clint B)

hi im clint i own 1 1984 sa63 coupe celica just wondering what are my best options for a build??? any ideas would help alot and also where might i find a pair of tail lights for it as the left one has some minor damage i live in brisbane i also work with car parts but cant seem to find these particular light any help would be great thanks :D
